@hotdanman The crankshaft sensor is on the timing cover on the bottom left near the AC motor. Cam shaft sensor is on the cover as well. Right under the coils.
ah its like Music to my ears! thanks for mention! and nothing beats the sound of a Ford V8! i should make some videos of my truck before the exhaust is put on, and after, right now my 302w is crazy loud with only headers! lol lol i actually am concerned, as i have done start up videos before with my old camera, and the audio gets kinda distorted when revving, it might be actually damaging the cameras microphone! lol lol but again thanks for the mention Daniel, 5 *****
I dont care what anybody says. Nothing sounds better than a V8. I have a similar engine in my speedboat. next summer i should put my camera in the engine compartment and go for a run when the water is smooth. No fan or anything else in there, just pure, american, Muscle!
In the winter I use 5W-30, and in the spring summer and fall I use 10W-30. The reason is because the in the winter, lower viscosity oil makes cold starts easier than higher viscosity oil.
yep, and it reduces engine wear, as low (more fluid like) viscosity oil can circulate the engine faster in the cold winter than thicker "high" viscosity oil which will circulate slower in the cold winter, thus engine wear occurs
oh ok. thanks for the imformation, love your Truck btw. Diesels are great.. but i still love my 4.6L. i think i will put 5W-30 in from not on becuase it's dealer recomended... but in the summer months i might follow what you do and put 10@-30 in it
thanks it was a loose wire on the crank sensor. fixed it 11 mo ago
but thanks! the ex has it now and i miss it.

anyone know of some bolt on performance parts for the 4.6 engine?
dmspit 1 year ago
@dmspit its the same size motor thats in the 1996 and up mustangs so there are endless performance parts for these motors.
guitarist41991 1 year ago
@guitarist41991 Endless piles of broken parts from those motors too.

I have a Ford 4.6L in my T-bird.

What car is that in? My mom had a 4.6 Triton V8 in her 2001 Expedition. Is this a similar engine?
powerstroker14 2 years ago
same engine's, Ford just used the "Triton" name to help sell them better.

not only is it one of the best sounding engines ever made, but that little 4.6 has plenty of muscle to back it up.

A 4.6 is a Ford V8

ohhh i must of forgot. cuz i am a huge ford fan

might sound better if you place it underneath the oil pan that way it doesn't have all the fan and belt noise.
Chevypickups1993 2 years ago
Yeah, I thought of that, but I wanted the video to include the cooling fan. Next time I'm going to try placing the camera further from the fan.

what camera do you use?
moni370 2 years ago
@DanielJaegerFilms
hey what kinda oil do you use in that thing?
i've got a 4.6 Lincoln and i use 10W-30 but i found out it calls for 5W-30
so i was wondering what you use?
