I think they should include quick pit-stops for qualifying, instead of having to go in to the garage all the while for it to put on a new front wing or change tyres and then go all the way back out. They do this in real life so why shouldn't they include it? Anyone with me?

You never used KERS AT ALL, you really need to us KERS, not only to overtake and defend, but also to increase acceleration out of corners and Apex speed.

@N1Legion you should try a simulation like LFS then. Theres a lot more clean driving there. F1 2011 is an arcade game and thats how the people play it (ramming into eachother, not making a single turn in a ideal line).
On full sim settings and no assists this game handles 100 times better than last year as far as sim goes.
And you can set up a custom public lobby, which is searchable for anyone, and tweak any settings you'd like. My lobbies are full sim, no assists (but auto gearing), 10% races, NO COLLISIONS, equal cars, random grid, no qualy.
I've raced with strangers for a week now, everyone is having a blast, and rammers/bad players soon leave since they can't wreck the session :)
@Servicehans , thats like saying Forza is arcade, which it isn't. i like F1 and i know the settings for easy driving can be turned off, it's a shame assists aren't turned off for everyone online.

@TeamVVV F1 can be a contradiction aye. I was just pointing out (badly) that at 6:10 it wasn't oversteer, he just turned in too much and as a result ended up fully on the apex...rather than the rear breaking traction and sliding out (which is a loss of grip not a gain)

I was referring to the point in the video where that was said in the commentary..6:10 It wasn't actually oversteer, he just turned in to sharp and ended up on the apex/grass. Oversteer is a loss of rear tyre grip, resulting in the rear sliding out.. Which isn't what happened... Also if the rear tyres are sliding (oversteer) it isn't gripping very well, is it? Because you've LOST traction, not gained.
And by the way, people still corner cut a lot without no penalties and as you can see it is now even easier to drive on grass and dirt.. pathetic attempt to involve noobs in the action of a great simulation racing game... let the noobs buy NFS..

@saltboy2 Actually at start there is a clutch like thing. Drivers don't just wait for the red lights to go off and then accelerate, but they release the clutch. This procedure is not that easy as you can often see mark Webber screwing this up.

it's not upto the game desginers to come up with a solution to trolls on the F1 lobbys who cant take the first corner right, what you have to do is stop bitching and find some freinds who have this game, then start your own private league or season and race like that, this is what we do on a sunday and it makes the practice session during the week more fun. 50% sunday race and it's all good, all clean drivers, now we can have teams and 16 on the grid, excellent, yo8u get what u put in this game
He had half a front wing !! no wonder he was going off. And you don't see many f1 drivers going off track on the 1st lap just because there tyres are cold. This guy thinks he knows everything .
@drplbiftin I agree. They should make it realistic. In real life no one drives too dirty because they could end up totaling their car or get heavy time penalties. F1 2011 should implement this.

That first corner is hilarious. There is a guy I know acctually who makes F1 videos that are funny, he is called 'IntoTheBarrier' please check him out.
Looks like he is suffering with a lot of Understeer, I think he got some Damage to the car in the madness at the beginning of the race. An all too Familiar scene to F1 2010 online where people just dont brake or deliberately ruin your race. Happens to me all the time on Race 07 online as well! Why cant people just race fairly and realistically? If someone is making an overtake on me and they are 100% to pass me I give them space. Not turn into them like some idiots do!
This is the one thing that I hate about online racing on consoles, and it's drivers who swerve and pile into turn 1.
I would win in 2010 just by pulling to the side and letting everyone by into turn 1 and then you get through the race. I wish there was a way codemasters could do something to get people to try not to drive this way.
It is so dumb how they release the game toward the end of the season, but they only use the drivers who started from race one in melbourne. I really wanted to see Daniel Riciardo in the Game!! and senna to.
This is what happend's in multiplayer racing games were there is no career penalties for recking. No one cares if they take out the whole field. Just quick thrills. Definitely getting this game for splayer only.
they should do something kinda like gt5 online where if your purposly crash into someone you cant accelerate for so many seconds but thats just my personal opinion

I think Codemasters is doing a more than awesome job of translating the F1 experience to the videogames. @TeamVVV i am not blaming the game but it should have an option to deal with the idiot players who ruin the whole thing for the rest of us... 2010 didnt have a ghost car option so every time i went into the first corner someone crashed into me and it ruined the whole online exprience for me. i used to play f1 challenge 99-02 (best f1 game ever) on pc. it had ghost cars at the start to avoid bieng pushed off the track by idiots.

Looks like he is suffering with a lot of Understeer, I think he got some Damage to the car in the madness at the beginning of the race. An all too Familiar scene to F1 2010 online where people just dont brake or deliberately ruin your race. Happens to me all the time on Race 07 online as well! Why cant people just race fairly and realistically? If someone is making an overtake on me and they are 100% to pass me I give them space. Not turn into them like some idiots do!

This is the one thing that I hate about online racing on consoles, and it's drivers who swerve and pile into turn 1.
I would win in 2010 just by pulling to the side and letting everyone by into turn 1 and then you get through the race. I wish there was a way codemasters could do something to get people to try not to drive this way.

It is so dumb how they release the game toward the end of the season, but they only use the drivers who started from race one in melbourne. I really wanted to see Daniel Riciardo in the Game!! and senna to.

This is what happend's in multiplayer racing games were there is no career penalties for recking. No one cares if they take out the whole field. Just quick thrills. Definitely getting this game for splayer only.

All these people bitching about the game so badly at the minute just need patience. Nobody's seen a final build yet and 2010 was a great game with very few faults in my eyes. Codemasters have promised us that 2011 will be a lot better in every way, and it does look a lot better. So why don't you reserve your judgements for now? Maybe until after you've picked the game up and played it? To all you haters, I've got two words for you; SUCK IT!!!!

I think Codemasters is doing a more than awesome job of translating the F1 experience to the videogames. Even though I'm still far away from owning a PS3 (Proud PS2 owner), I look forward to this game. (And for the good drivers too!)

@TeamVVV i am not blaming the game but it should have an option to deal with the idiot players who ruin the whole thing for the rest of us... 2010 didnt have a ghost car option so every time i went into the first corner someone crashed into me and it ruined the whole online exprience for me. i used to play f1 challenge 99-02 (best f1 game ever) on pc. it had ghost cars at the start to avoid bieng pushed off the track by idiots.

@TeamVVV yh but he has a good point all cars are ghost just for start and first corner,because you dont want ghost for full race because its fake and overtaking rrequires no skill.

@TeamVVV I agree. You fire up the game, get zoned in to the realism this game produces just to cop out and put ghost mode on. I will buy the game for the full experience not with a half arsed approach

@aimalkhan123 it's mean to be realistic, if you hit a car in real life then it's the end of your race/session as is the sae in the game. It's a simulator
