What's that thing in the selection screen when you press pause? The one in between the one-ups and energy tanks? I don't remember seeing that.

I don't know but i did know once. I got it years ago on one hidden place, i think it was near flameman. i wish i remembered....

@bushinarin I do not remember a Proto Man in this game. Yamato Man was one of the eight bosses before going to the X, and this is the first level of the X part.

@nd4spdviper I know that, but there's a block you break in Yamato Man. It's somewhere in the middle of the level. You need to Power adapter to do it. It's right above some spikes in the bottom left corner of the screen.
