@TopHatBethCat doh, just realised this was from you beth. send me a pm with your address and i will send you a free copy of my cd"off the tube " available on itunes at 7.99 plug plug
@krabbers Lol, I already bought a copy :P Too laaaaate! Muahahaha! It's so good! I love the spectrum you've got going, funnier songs like hedgehog poo being on the same CD as the more sombre Tower or My Best Friend At My Side just rocks, you've got a whole bag of talent Mike... one day I will find it and grab some for myself :)
@krabbers And we wouldn't have it any other way :P I haven't seen you in aaaaages! The CD will probably end up dusty by the time I actually get home XD And I can't wait for extraness- headup tho, comedic or sad? Or would tha tbe telling :P
I don't know what I should say. I'm happy to call you a good friend, though we never met. I would love to play this with you one day. thank you very much for transforming your soul into such powerful songs.
I enjoy your work Krabbers. I have an 18 year old son so this one is close to my heart. I like the way your eight string sounds. Thanks for writing it.
Really powerful song and very moving performance, just great. I love the way the "I don't know" refrain ties it all together. I saw the 8 tuners and I thought you had some kind of big mandolin or bouzouki but it is an 8 string uke! Sounds really nice, must be fun to keep in tune when the strings are new!
i was going to buy the solid spruce top one but it would not tune up in the shop , i went off it quite quick, but the laminate mahogany top sounded great straight away so i had it this one has a pickup fitted as well
This is stunningly brilliant, the imagery you create is amazing. It could be about any of our soldiers in the last 100 years, a truly timeless piece of writing.
It made me think about the first world war when I was listening to it, but I guess it could be any of them. And its just so flipping sad :(
Popped in for another listen. I think that this tops "This Message" (for me anyway). Poignant a, topical and musically just stunning and you crafted some powerful images.
Listened to it several times now. I like it very much. As an X soldier, I can relate to it as well. Lovely sound on the eight string as well. Well done mate.
Brings a tear to my eyes every time I listen to this
