it's a really very very nice idea of yours to imitate this wonderful piece of music on my "kaqin" (kantele-guqin).
But I must realise this with my own playing technique, because the strings of my instruments are very heavy to play. Btw, it's not an electrical, but an accoustical instrument. Many many thanks again for your kindly comment, dear wingplum!
By the way, I also understand Master Wu learned his guqin from Zha Fuxi when Mr. Wu was a young boy. He also told me that Master Zha was a good qin singer thought he hardly perfomred it in public.
I still like your piece - much better than mine! After hearing it for the 10th times - I decided to pratice more on this piece. I also like this piece play by Master Wu ziying - I saw his presentation one time in close distance on this piece. Man, I think his fingers are like octopus tenacles - twisting and crossing all the lines so smoothly.
I'm so honored by your compliment! You were quite lucky to be able to enjoy Master Wu's performance live. His playing or style is so serene and mesmerizing. After seeing your comment, I think I am going to get the 2nd Vol. of his "Art of the Guqin" :-)
I agreed, it is not easy to play it nice. So much finger movement, so many strings to press in such short period of time, to many "Yao"s in this short piece..........took me forever to learn this piece with tears. Good job - you played well!
sounds almost professional to my ears. this is a short piece, but you must have practiced for a long time for this piece. simply great! i'm released from something in the mind.. thanks.
どうもありがとうございました (deep bow...)! Without your encouragement, I probably would wait much longer to post a new one :-) This one is short, but some sections are particularly difficult because it requires one finger (mainly the ring finger of the left hand, 薬指) to press down several strings at the same time (for example, at 2:22-23, the ring finger needs to press down 5 strings), and yet my ring finger was a bit weak. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement.
This piece is dreadful for my ring finger.

@chengyanslc hehe, yes, I know it is quite hard on the ring finger, but don't be discouraged, since practice makes perfect :-)

@eastwest3002 Haha, thank you! I haven't played this piece for quite a while. I am sure you are playing it much better than I am now :-)

There is something deeply incredible soul by playing your guqin:
Your guqin begins to "sing"!! No more words about it.
Only this: Love your style!!
Yours from Germany,
Volker
PS: My English could be better, sorry about that!!

Volker400 , My friend ,how difficult is it to imitate this deep mellow Qin voice in your electric guqin?

Oh! Yes,your Kaqin's strings are too short to produce deep bass. You may think a longer one.

Yes, you are right. I heard several qin songs sung by Master Zha online. They are simply amazing!

To me, I don't care your fingering too much, what I like is your musical feeling.
