Avevo 13 anni quando ebbi l'occasione di assistere al debutto in tv di questo grande tenore fratello di mia madre e quindi mio zio.Renato è stato l'orgoglio della famiglia Cioni e degli Elbani,Questo debutto fu l'inizio di una carriera artistica di grande levatura tando da diventare uno fra i piu grandi tenori del mondo.Mio zio vive all'Isola d'Elba insieme alla moglie Loretta e ai suoi figli nel capoluogo Portoferraio.Colgo l'occasione per mandarli un caloroso abbraccio.
