@ThePinchedLoaf Use the smoke perk , it was for Armor anyways when they get tagged , they deploy countermeasures , same as choppers by deploying flares

only the jeeps get 100 bullets or so

@airbusrafael i have, but its more luck than skill, im still trying to work them. easier in a faster chopper - i think you wait until it beeps like theres no tomorrow, fly away so the missile is following you then deploy

@NoodleDoorant true actually i dodged 1 last week or so, but in a AH64 in a UH64 or HIND it is impossible they re too slow. what also works on atacama dessert is try to get the ship's wreck between you and the missile its easy to fly round that wreck.

when i hear thet bleep going off i deploy and turn steeply or i try to get a object in the missiles path it'll always crash into that. :)

@airbusrafael yeah best bet to dogde when your in the attack helis is to do a 180 rapid descent (hopefully while deploying flares in an almost vain attempt :P), meaning you can go straight the other way - it also helps what kind of rocket was fired at you, RPG is much slower than the CG.

I do however play the ps3 version so it may be different for the PC.

I thought these were already in the game before this patch came out, wasn't V Smoke supposed to drop flares? I'm playing on XBOX so I'm not sure if that differs from PC.

So, question. How come your movement feels fluid and responsive -but when I play EVERYTHING on my pc feels and seems "stuttery". There seems to be some bullsh*t "initial lag" to everything I do from aiming to moving. I can tell my soldier moves "units" instead of A " bit" if I tap a directional button. often I wanna "scoot just a biT" up a hill to see better but instead I "slide" back down instead.

Gets me killed a LOT -_-

@BlackwingDragon I play at 60fps on low ping servers. I have never experienced anything less than perfect fluidity in BC2. If you are, then you need to upgrade your PC and/or find really nice low ping servers. GL, I could never go back to noticeably jerky gameplay.

@ericunderscores It was the bad coding of the frostbite engine, apparently. After the patch, stuff moves a bit more fluently now, I can actually get kills that I deserve now :-P.

Note, "upgrade your PC" is complete bullshit and does not apply to this game as OTHERS HAVE THIS TOO. Or...had. The Patch did a lot.

@BlackwingDragon because on a PS3, on can adjust how much pressure you put on the gamepad, where as on PC, you just press the damn button and it initiates the command

@lorenzol1996 Not what I mean. The engine's problem, apparently. Others playing on a PC also get smooth movement sometimes but most people get jittery, unit-based movement. Like if I'm on a hill sloping down and want to scoot up just a bit to peek over that hill, I WILL "move" a little up...then I'll slide 2-3 units back down for the 1 I moved up . POS 1.5..frostbite.

@LustX They claimed it was available in the PC version but it was consistently left out and ignored. Nothing was ever available in PC for any helicopters.

How did you drop those countermeasures? Is this a modification or did we miss something? Btw don't turn down the nose too fast, they made flying so real you have to go steady with it.

@SonixSquad You can get tagged, but now you have a competent defense against a locked-on rocket. Before if you got tagged there was zero chance of survival.
