I agree that the Federal Reserve is the root of all evil. Get rid of them instead of just bumping your gums, Congressman. He doesn't want the Federal Reserve, a PRIVATE BANKING SYSTEM but wants to privatize the Government housing loan company. A HOUSE FOR FREE, Ron Paul is a lying propagandist who says he is a liberatarian and is actually a Republican who votes more conservative than most Republicans. There is a LOT OF UNCERTAINTY, not really, study economics then give us a theory.
@azmildman he's done more to try the abolish the federal reserve than anyone else in politics right now, dude. he's a true libertarian. he wrote a book called 'end the fed' for crying out loud. he's 100% austrian economics all the way. do some research before commenting ignorantly, man. ;-P
@fecklessman I did research his voting record, which is what counts for a congressman. It is listed on Wikipedia. maybe you should do some research and not listen to just rhetoric. The Wikipedia list comment was that he has a more conservative voting record than most of the Republicans. He has done more to end the fed? Check and see where he has voted to do that. Comentning ignorantly man. duh. In fact, you ought to read the Ron Paul newsletter controversy on Wikipedia.
I don't know this man. Can anyone prove he is just a conspiracy theorist? We will know soon. If he keeps screwing with the Federal Reserve who is going to KILL HIM is he keeps it up. Two presidents tried seeing legislation put into law that would abolish the Fed and those two were J.F.K. and Abraham Lincoln and immediately after each of them was shot. Get rid of the houses by selling them at a reasonable rate. Poor people being able to buy houses won't happen if there AREN'T construction jobs.
rons right and if u dont see that your dumb. just look up his vids from years ago when no one wanted him on there shows and laughed at what he said. its all coming true. now hes on tv all the time and no one can prove him wrong.
I HATE reporters and their "interesting conversation" comments...I mean, what is so damn hard about understanding what Ron Paul is saying???? You have to be a mindless idiot to not even at least grasp what he is trying to say. But then again, the American media has always been run by mindless idiots
they must take a piece out of your brain in order to work with fox. or pay you REALLY well to smear anyone with a good idea. and a tool she is. LET THE GOOD MAN SPEAK YOU TRUTH HIDING SHE-SCHMUCK!
@TABOOVSKNOWLEDGE Child? How many children do you know that have masters degrees in counter terrorism and international relations? You are a little baby. Baby want his bottle? Boohoohoo. Go cry about it bitch.
@TerrorWarrior5000 I am looking at your reply "You are a little baby. Baby want his bottle? Boohoohoo. Go cry about it bitch." Son, no one here believes that you are nothing but a foreign nimrod. You most definitely do not have a masters degree from the USA. It is more likely you have a masters degree from Afghanistan. Your comments lack the maturity of a twelve year old. Which would equal someone from the middle east. If you have material content lets see it.
All of these brainless wonders who interview Dr. Paul have the same smug smile on their face. He has the grace of a saint; I don't have the patience to deal with these idiots—especially on national television.
Fannie and Freddie will foreclose on home owners and sell the properties on the market from 25 to 50 cents on the dollar. How about you Sell the loans to the home owner for 25 to 50 cents on the dollar and make the loans affordable again. Also stop borrowing from big banks find Land Contracts from individuals and only buy what you can afford.
It must be difficult to interview someone when you don't have a clue what they are talking about. I don't get why FBN brought this dummy on, and gave her her own show. She is just so un-informed on the issues. I don't think she even understands the questions.
a gold standard wont change anything, the bankers just buy up all the gold and make it scarce. many depressions happened with a gold standard. we need greenback backed with gold and silver and any other commodity, with congress issuing interest free notes. watch- THE MONEY MASTERS -to understand.
@llshamelessll Right, the documentary that uses as it's economics expert a total 'end times' quack like Larry Bates. Learn about economics from actual economists, like Mises, Hayek and Rothbard, not documentaries made by conspiracy theorists.
@Panpiper Bugger off you pompous fag. Your a peacock so full of himself its disgusting. I made my comment so average joe could do the beginnings of research. Your an elitist arrogant snob.
@llshamelessll Wow. Well... 'Clearly' someone wanting to start learning something about economics will now be motivated to listen to 'you'.
I think not.
To any level headed people out there curious about learning economics, I suggest starting with 'Economics in One Lesson' by Henry Hazlitt. It is an easy read in plain English. Please leave the conspiracy theory nonsense alone. That will just muddy your potential understanding and send you off in all sorts of utterly erroneous directions.
@TerrorWarrior5000 Even if you do not like Ron Paul, guy speaks from the heart and truly believes in what he says.
Most politicians will speak from a perspective that gives them the most Gains in Polls, ect ect.
RP speaks what is on his mind regardless. Only time I've seen him avoid a question is when it concerns his son, Rand Paul. Which is understandable because the media is just looking for a reason to put the topic "Father Vs Son" on their flashy intro's.
Well, yes, the gold is in there, but it doesn't belong to us. When I went five years ago the tour guide said only 5% of the gold was ours. I doubt any of it is now.
@sniper6081 The US stores gold for several other country's central banks. It is pretty certain that 'that' gold is there, as in all likelihood, those banks would verify that. What is questionable is whether or not the supposed gold reserves owned by the US is in fact still there. Theoretically the US is supposed to possess over 8000 tons of gold reserves. I would not be surprised if that has been converted into gold 'certificates', which would completely destroy the value as reserve.
But she put some lovely spin on it to claim that Ron Paul's Radicals views could "Cause another Recession or Depression". Up is down, & down is up, I won't be surprised if the media blames everything on use EndTheFedders for the dollar crashing because of our propaganda of destroying "confidence"
@TheInfo101 I already have 'friends' blaming the previous crash on my (and others) warning of it coming. It is the result of 'magical thinking', where everything is an opinion, there are no facts, and if too many people believe something, it tends to happen. It is truly scary how many people think this way. And 'when' the next (bigger) crash comes, I expect I will be vilified by these people for having warned about it.
I guess he is radical if you use the original meaning that comes from Latin... It means to get to the root of something. I would say that Dr. Paul does that fairly well wouldn't you? The only person that I know of that is more knowledgeable in issues and corrections of monetary systems (following the Constitution) is Dr. Edwin Vieira. I think this is why Dr. Paul read's his 2vol set called "Pices Of Eight" and has a copy on his desk.
If banks could only loan savings and/or bank owned money AND the bank had to hold the loan until it was paid off (ie. couldn't push them off on Fannie and Freddie or bundle them up for the stock market), home lending sanity would return. No bank would hold assets like homes on the books IF they weren't being used as assets balancing fractional reserves. They would sell them at the best price they could bring or enter honest negotiations with the borrowers for better lending terms.
Major points just flew right over her head. "My house is on fire you say? We have to get out with our loved ones while we still can? But what do you say to those who just prepared dinner in their kitchens and now it's time to eat, Dr. Paul?"
Government is not above the law. Central bank is not owned by the government and therefore, the government has no power over the Central Bank. It must be audited.
I love how they call him radical, but he was warning about the crash(no other presidential candidates did). His adviser Peter Schiff predicted the crash, still people call him radical. It's funny that (if Willis is sincerely clueless ) people like Willis are there to inform others. :D
One thing I like to do while watching these interviews is imagine that the signal delay is actually Dr. Paul just taking a couple of seconds to stare in amazement at how stupid his interviewers are.
@Voy2378 You're joking around but many people hid away silver half dollars years ago before they took the silver out of them. My grandparents did it and I had a few friends whose parents did the same. Nothing like being shown a couple socks of stuffed full of silver half dollars that were stashed away bc. they knew their content would be more valuable than the face value stamped on them.
@soundgarden21 You are right to be nervous. The supposed crises of 2008 was nothing compared to what is coming. It is hard to know exactly when it will come, as much depends on when the creditor nations such as Japan and China get tired of creating inflation in their own countries in order to allow the US to continue borrowing money. But I expect it is a matter of years, certainly not decades. Have at least 3 month's income in gold/silver coin that you possess plus 3 months food & consumables.
Great interview Dr Paul. Once again you nail it, hit it out of the park, grand slam. We have to realize hosts like Ms Willis represent the average American (and maybe she is even above average), but they have not studied this issue and it scares them.) Ron Paul did a very good job answering her questions with hard hitting facts!
Fannie and Freddie was created to make housing more affordable. Now they exist to make housing UN-affordable. The contradiction that government is exposed for what it is.
The continental dollar had runaway inflation because it was counterfeited by the British during the war. Gold-backed money is not the answer! See Bill Still's documentary, "The Secret of Oz" (free on youtube).
@kevinz1985 They're useful to boost the local economy, but the federal government should issue debt-free money and control its quantity, which means outlawing government borrowing and fractional reserve lending. This is a function of government and shouldn't be delegated to private banks like the Fed Reserve.
@rsn43 Zeitgeist and that ilk is frankly nonsense. Don't get your economics from a handful of conspiracy theory quacks. Get your economics from real economists like Mises, Hayek and Rothbard. Go to Mises dot org for a good start.
If you think government is going to somehow magically 'control' itself when it gets it's hands on a money printing press, you are 'really' naive.
@Panpiper Government control isn't perfect either, but it's the best we've got. It should be government by the people through their elected representatives. As long as the money power is controlled by private interests, then it's government by the private interests and not the people.
@rsn43 Sure np. Government can issue the money it wants. But why couldn't I use the money i want ? Just get rid of the legal tender laws.
The only problem with the Fed is that it has the monopoly of creating money (monopoly given by the government). I don't trust anybody having this monopoly, even if its name is "government".

@Panpiper The bank bailouts and unpopular wars are strong evidence that our government is run by private interests and not the people.

Ron Paul is the man. They always try to throw a curve ball at him but, he throws it back at them.
