same thing happeden to my dalmatian :( she got cancer when she was 11 yrs old we had to put her to sleep there was no other options :( but now we got new one young and healthy
She had cancerous tumors on her belly. It started out as an innocent-looking little button-sized lump but quickly grew to painful mass you saw in the video.
Gosh! It is so sad.... I can empathise with you as we lost our lovely 4 yr. old Dal suddenly, due to Filaria which the Vet didn't treat him for saying the side effects of that particular drug were awful. His end was a terrible shock to us and the Vet conveniently said that our Snoopy had Cancer. Wrong diagnosis!!Tragic, to say the least....
this made me cry so bad. Me and my family had 3 dalmations, 2 male and 1 female. one male was put to sleep cause he killed a neighbors cat, the other male was put to sleep cause he was losing his eye sight. and the girl was put to sleep cause from breaking her hip.. when she died, i felt like a part of me died as well. she was like a sister to me. after she was put to sleep in 2006, i got a tatt of her years later, when ever i look at it, i always think of her. i still miss them all today
Thank you. It still makes me cry too. I understand what you went through. If I had to do it all over again myself, I think I'd keep her and nurse her till the end. I know some people don't understand that but time with her was so precious and I'm not so sure she was ready to leave me.
@kkelley57 i know that feeling. when i saw my dog brittany (who broke her hip) laying on her bed in pain, i heled her and she just laid her head on my lap. When my dad got home we carried her out to his truck and when he walked in the house.. looked her in the eyes and said, "thank you so much for being such a good friend brittany" kissed her on the head and walked in the house..
She was so happy....it shows the joy of living in every moment and basking in life, as dogs do, may she bask in the sunlight of the happy hunting grounds forever
Oh it really was so sad but I knew that time was short for her so I really did try to spend a lot of time doing the things she loved. It's been exactly a year since I lost her and I still miss her terribly but I was fortunate enough to bring a new puppy, Indi's great-niece, home a few months ago. You can check her out in the video "Life of Lexi - Birth to 14 weeks". She's not Indi but she brings me joy. :-)
