It's great to hear you are happy, calm and of course alive! Such fantastic news! :-) How is Andrea? All is well here. Just cold. I got your message, I am glad you did a video. :-) We miss you out here!
Hey there! I miss you, too. I guess our posting frequency is negatively correlated with our schoolwork? How's yours coming along? I have three more semesters to go here.
A. is doing well. It's not cold here at all this year. I guess all our snow went to North America or something.
Take care and let us all know how you're doing from time to time. :)
I was sooooo happy to see a new video from you!! I miss that huge cup and you show and tell!!!!!!! Wow you have so much going on, very impressive! Missed ya!
: -D I love it! Thanks for this video. I need Alive, Happy and Calm lately. I really do. Your videos always bring a smile. Hope you are well. :) hugs, Judy
Well, at the moment I'm not teaching much. At least not until I finish the master's degree! So I'm getting by on various freelance jobs like editing and assessing English levels for prospective students.
Thanks for checking in. Glad you're HAPPY ALIVE and CALM! And the toilets? Hmmm. I bet they're even worse than the ones that used to haunt my dreams!
Yes, the toilets can be quite terrible in some cities. But it depends on the venue in each city. A few weeks ago, I just rolled up my trouser legs and kept them rolled up. My colleagues understood that there was NO WAY I was putting those trousers back in my suitcase if they came into contact with ... whatever.
Another colleague just went to the men's restroom. She told me it was fine in there. :)
Glad those complimentary toiletries cured your exhaustion and frustration! What do you do for a job? - sounds like a nightmare! Although when I worked in China for a week (as an architect taking briefings for a job) it was kind of similar... Don't overdo it love, all this can take a big toll on your health. I've learnt, it's just not worth it.
@missalgernon I didn't know you were in China? Which cities did you visit? I usually only travel in the north, though of course I have been to quite a few places in the south and southeast, too. :) I know what you mean about working too hard taking a toll on your health. I'll try to keep it in check. The work itself isn't too physically demanding -- just getting there is hard. I work in the ESL field, so I just listen to people speaking English all day.
@haiqin Yeah it was just a short visit, a couple of years ago now. I was based in Shanghai and working in changshu. Visited souzhou(?) the place with all the neon lights and fountains... It was a really amazing trip. Have a friend who lives in Shanghai who showed me around and took me to some swanky bars!
Ah memories... Would love to come over for a holiday one day. China is so huge, so much to see.
@missalgernon Yep, it's definitely a big place with a lot to see. I have been all over the country, but you've just named three places I've never visited: Shanghai, Suzhou, and Changsha. I tend to avoid the South since I developed this heat tolerance problem!

I'm glad I can make you laugh, just whining about business travel! ;)
