  • My kids got me one for Christmas: my strat is gathering dust.

  • nice sound.

    Great guitar.

  • my wife (with the help of my friends) bought me a black amf73 just few days before my 1st gig and . I thank u and others who uploaded their amf73 videos on youtube.

  • hi question, what amp r u using and generally how would you describe the sound, tone and the feel to AMF73? your personal testimonial will greatly help in my decision to my 1st electric guitar. much thanks!

  • @freshsourmilk VOX DA5 digital amp, I love everything about this guitar, I just need to save up for a good valve amp to make it perfect.

  • @SuperAntoria i just bought it and ur reply came just as i reached home from the store. I am what happy is. :D

  • is this guitar good for blues playing?

  • @JambiDAgenie yes

  • i was thinking of buying amf73. would it go well with UK modern rock like Muse?

  • @sangtujoh A twin-humbucker semi-hollow like this should work pretty well for most things, certainly including modern U.K. rock, but remember that Muse's sound doesn't come from the guitar that Matt Bellamy uses, it comes from the effects; mainly a ZVex Fuzz Factory (which, incidentally, are about £150-200 brand new).

  • @Vanguard448 it's not that I want to recreate Matt's sound or anything but I just want to know would the sound be awkward if amf73 is used for playing that kind of music. I'm not really good at guitars so I was hoping that I can get many infos about this guitar. Thanks for ur advice. You've been a great help. I was hoping to buy the tobacco flat finish but now maybe i'll buy the black one so it would not look so retro-like.

  • Oh no, know I want one. I have an AS73B, and it's the badest mofo on the block. I'm still debating whether I should put some 57 classics on it though. Is the AMF7 semi hollow?

  • @SpinGoldmusic yes it's a semi hollow.

  • @SuperAntoria I recently put Jazz model Seymour Duncan pickups on my neck, and 57 classics on my bridge for my AS73B. It sounds like a freak of nature. I've been obsessing over the AMF73, and when I get it I'm doing similar treatment to it. I really like Ibanez now after playing on an American Standered Les Paul for five years. The problem with them though is that in order for them to reach my expectations they need a lot of work. Namely fret and nut work and hardware modifications.

  • I loved it! I'm thinking about getting one AMF73 to myself. Could you post more videos? Maybe with a little distorsion here and there :) Keep the good job!

  • @viniciusb1 thanks. i will be posting more soon.

  • ive got the same guitars except im putting gibson super vintage p90s in mine

  • would you recommend it for a psychedelic player who uses effects ?

  • @lockenny7 I think it would be great for that purpose.

  • what do you think of the pickups and neck on this guitar?

I had a Jetking and the pickups sucked, and neck was flat and wide.

I like single coils the most, but am wanting to give humbuckers another try.

I really like the necks on Ibanez Talmans.

the neck looks short on this, but how wide and flat is it?

    how comfortable?

  • @burntumber The neck is just as wide as the jet king, but i wouldn't say flat. The pickups are ok, ibanez describes them as " tight tone with added treble" For me it is comfortable because i am used to a wide neck.

  • Can you post a video with some rock and roll tone :) please ?

I just wanna hear if the distortion will sound good .

  • @sk3terb0y check out my channel for some more on the ibanez amf73

  • @SuperAntoria cool i just saw them , ive been deciding on which guitar to buy , amf73 or epi dot.

  • @sk3terb0y You have to go to a good guitar shop and try both, you will feel which is right for you.

  • @sk3terb0y i use my amf73 with a proco turborat and it does a awesome job!

  • Awesome guitar/sound - is it a pretty light-weight guitar? How is the action? I would love to hear any info/comments about the guitar - Thanks!!

  • Hi . i just got this guitar a few weeks ago. i have been getting used to it and tweaking the set up. The action was set at about 2mm at the 12th fret , i actualy got it a bit lower but didn't like it . The tone and feel is better the way it was, I think because of the bigger frets and thicker strings. the weight is a bit heavier than a strat, but much lighter than a les paul.
