This particular species of Chasmosaurus has smaller horns. This animation is based on the exact anatomical features found from the fossils. Showcased at the Canadian Museum of Nature is an animation depicting the famous chewing mechanism of hadrosaurs which includes Corythosaur. The hadrosaur species we have showcased is called Edmontosaurus regalis.
good question. The fossils (brown bones)in the animation are an exact representation of the fossil fragments found in real life. The tail bones were not found. They are believed to have been eroded away; therefore the tail bones were not included in the animation.
