The anthem of many of us in the 60s. We did it all and tried it all. Racin' with the wind and the feeling we were under. Some raced faster than the wind and reached the sky. And some of us are still firin' our guns and smokin' lightnin'. God it was great. Now you can't spit without permission or being video taped.
Amen. I think the young people in their 20's today dont even want to be free . Just want to get a good job, pay their student loans, and do what theyre told.Sad.
The music with a feeling of scamper does not fade. The voice of the vocalist becomes refined, but the mind is unchangeable. It cannot be exaggeration even if I say a splendid performance.
I love the band.Listened and played some of their songs as i was growing up.But why does it have to be john kay and STEPPENWOLF,HUH?WTF? altitudes everywhere man.your ok j.k.,but you aint 'the one' my man.God Bless You tho.
I saw JK and Steppenwolf at a small local nightclub called the Bodega in Campbell,CA in 1978. There was a $5.00 dollar cover. It was cool dancing in front of a legend. He was just as picky with the tuning his band as if he were playing in front of thousands. Rock on JK!
John Kay plays at just about every big motorcycle rally in America. A few years back he was suppose to play one night at Buffalo Chip Campground in Sturgis. It rained for a little while and he never appeared. The pussy was afraid he was going to get shocked. Hopped on his bus and departed. No refunds on the high dollar tickets. The rain had stopped and he was gone. GRADE C
