If I'm not benefitting THEIR lives, then they don't care about me. It's depressing in some ways, but in your loneliness you can learn to become best friends with yourself.

You always see what was on it before' so you shouldn't just try to get rid of what was there before, but move away from it and become whatever it is your to become....well thar my advice
There is nothing wrong with cleaning the slate. We all have seasons or time with things and people. There comes a time when we have to let go and move forward in order to grow. There are people who are in your life for a season. There are people who are in your life for a reason. Then there are those "few" life time friends.
I like how you "cleaned the slate" I need to do the same thing...There are so many people who seem to be your friend but honestly, times and people change. It's time to "start with a clean slate".
