I bought the utility bench to go with my Powertec power rack that I bought last year. I've only had it two weeks, but when I use it with anything remotely heavy, it tilts back a few inches when I unrack the bar for bench press, or do something like tricep extensions where I have to reach backwards with lighter weights. Is there something wrong with my bench? Is tilting normal with this bench design? I was expecting a stable platform when I purchased it. I have just the bench, no attachments.
@PowertecFitness Hi. I'll have to contact Powertec. This wasn't the case. There is no pin that fixes the two sides together to allow for a push like in the levergym.
@PowertecFitness I've been thinking about this (my order is still on its way), and I'm wondering: the video doesn't depict any pull pin other than the safety pins.
Is this pullpin a feature which isn't depicted in the video? It seems like both press arms are independent throughout all the demonstration exercises, so I'm just curious.
@PowertecFitness Thanks! I just ordered this at my local Powertec dealer. Really looking forward to getting it.
I do have another question: I'm wondering if it's okay to leave plates on the machine (ex. leaving two 45lb plates on the machine when not in use). I try to look after all my equipment as best I can (even the best of the best needs repair/replacement after years of use), so I'm just curious as to whether or not this would speed up ware on the machine when it's not in use.
@ThePaulWog Powertec sells a weight rack as a separate item in order to store the Olympic plates off of the machines if you are looking to best take care of your strength machine. You can check on our website for more information on our Workbench Weight Rack (WB-WR10).
Good day! The Powertec Workbench Multipress actually has a weight capacity of 200 lbs. PER ARM, which makes it a total of 400 lbs. when you perform certain exercises using both arms simultaneously. The average home gym can carry a total of 300 lbs. max.
Love the WBLS10 - come have a gander at some DIY add-ons...I hope this split arm will be available for the LS10, otherwise I fear the old grinder and welder's coming out!

Possibly my package didn't have an updated piece?

Is it only separate for the arms, or can you set it up so the arms are connected as you push rather than separate?

Why do the specs show that the weight capacity is only 200 lbs? That seems kind of light.
