3 PUPs push/pull what's goin' on? The whole idea of the Telecaster was SIMPLICITY, (Yes yes I know it's an ASAT, but it's a G&L which was made by Leo which means Fender Telecaster to me) .Two PUPS 1 tone, volume. If I want variety buy a G&L Z3 or Comanche or a Les Paul, lots of buttons to play with and pickup configurations to confuse u

Seriously though, it's a beautiful axe, I have an ASAT Commemorative Classic '91-92 and to me they are the true Fender guitars. Fender died when Leo Sold to CBS

I have an ASAT Commemorative. They are the Telecaster that would have evolved if Leo had stayed with Fender. A superior guitar in every way. The down side of the one demonstrated is the lame matt finish.

In my opinion, opaque finish on guitars is a waste. I always want to be able to see the beautiful grain.

@rsl84416 That's why Sunburst type finishes are usually more expensive, painted models with the grain totally obscured use the cheaper or not so pretty woods.

@SRVthenumberONE Yeah they're single coils. Very high output, however, which reduces the treble and fattens the bass. Not hum-cancelling though. Cheers.

I've had many guitars through the years and I always end up selling them and trying something new. PRS, Gibson, Fender, Ernie Ball, Jackson, ESP...I've had them all. I recently purchased a G&L Legacy and I WILL NEVER SELL THIS GUITAR. They'll have to pry it from my cold dead decomposing hands. G&Ls are the best guitars money can buy, IMHO.
