  • she sounded like she was reading from a teleprompter...badly. work on your video skills girl!

  • This will be useful for my Cosplay where my characters will be wearing Sash Belt either tied on the front or side. ;)

  • You should take some advice from

AshNight1214 because she has done a amazing video on how to wear the whole kimono an then how to put it away and then wearing the proper geisha make up!

  • Well, if she were wearing a yukata or kimono, she tied it completely wrong. There are methods to tying an obi that she clearly does not know....

As an obi-INSPIRED sash, it does look very nice. However...

The sash should be made longer so as to be able to tie it as if wearing an actual obi... then follow obi tying methods, but end with her knot method, followed by shifting the knot to the back. This way you don't add any weight to your front... especially if you are a bigger lady.

  • I always have a big knot sticking out when I tie sash belts. Your method is simple and will lay flat. I arrived here to find out how to tie a sash. Mission accomplished. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.

  • Her voice is kind of annoying.

  • gd vid.. but thts not the traditional way of tying the belt..

it is much more complicated that a simple knot...

  • no, that outfit was so not casual or dressy. As the lovely QI host says, cultural perversion. If that belt had looked good with her outfit, fine, but that outfit was a mess and the belt made it even worse.

  • More emotion in her voice would be nice. :3

  • i dont think this is going to work with the one i have.....

  • ah people don't be so negative about it, she does show you how to tie the thing you know...

  • i love that she doesn't seem to know that wearing the obi knot in the front was something only prostitutes did.

  • It looks wrong.

  • Wearing the obi without a kimono or yukata makes you look very weird.

  • I think it would be interesting if people started wearing them as a standard accessory with casual clothes, but I feel that the girl took an opportunity to do something really unusualy and creative and went out of her way to make it too normal. That's my feeling.

  • she's an awful narrator
