  • audi is shit

  • sad very slow lol

  • Wow, is that ever quiet. You should hear my 7.3

  • @rekareaper You a gook er what? My envoy would embarrass your accord and prius. Googling numbers doesn't mean shit. Post a video of your 0-60 and I'll post a video of my 0-60 and we will see whose is faster.

  • I am amazed at how smooth it shifts and sounds. Very impressive setup.

  • You might want to let your truck warm up to operating temp. before you do this next time.

  • Nice truck. Fast for a truck no doubt. But i've just got to say that most modern v6 cars can get 0-60 in 6secs or so and your truck does it in 7ish i think. But then again you have a lot of weight to haul. Nice truck i need one of these to haul my 300zx to the shop to rebuild my motor lol

  • that thing sounds like a damn vacuum cleaner...

  • dam! thats not bad at all for a truck like that

  • >6.7L V8

    >Speedometer goes to 100 mph

    >Wat

  • I think you need some gas brah

  • Prius? My list of autos goes like this 03 WRX 283whp, 05 SRT4 221whp, 02 VW GTI 200whp and now a 99 Honda Blackbird. Rbrisb24 your right to the Govt ain't helping either.

  • Stop waisting all this fuel on a truck. Your the reason gas prices are insane. Let the cars that are fast do this stuff. Imagine twenty plus years of millions of trucks that are bought for size not function, sucking down around 8mpg.

  • @screaminseagull Your a tard. He's not the reason. It's the damn oil speculators and our corrupt government that jacks up the oil price. Go drive your faggy prius.

  • @screaminseagull Diesel engines get better gas mileage than most new cars today.

  • It's pretty fast for something that weighs 8,000 pounds. Especially when it goes just as fast when it's pulling 20,000 pounds

  • I guess 9 seconds is fast for a deisel... But not to anything else.

  • its under warranty why not run it how you want i can peg the tach on my 01 cummins multiple times and doesnt hurt it, and for the 5 min turbo cooldown, ive never did that with 3 cummins ive had turbos arnt much anyhow

  • @hoytcummins7 you don't need 5 mins for cool down, let the EGT's get down to 300 or below (usually 1-2 mins). It's when the warranty runs out that you need to start worrying about how BEAT UP that truck has been for the last x miles. You guys can drive your trucks how you want, I don't beat them until they are warm (multiple thermostat opening cycles) and don't shut them off until they are "cool". I've had 5 cummins FWIW including 6.7, 5.9 common rail, 24v, and 12v

  • and there goes 2-3 gallon of gas or diesel lol

  • 5.2 MPG, LOL!

  • this is how you ruin a diesel engine

  • needs a chip and exhaust.

  • @bcatz454 its soo quiet

  • was that the mpg gauge in the middle at 5.6

  • why is it shifting at 3000 rpm? n its redline is 4000??

  • @rick6084 Thats how diesels are. All diesel motors produce high amounts of torque at low RPM's, it dosen't need to rev high like a gasoline motor.

  • @volkswagenaustin03 lol i know about diesals but it was never said in the video it was a diesel so i thought it was a hemi or something

  • @rick6084 If you knew about diesels, you would have realised that this is a diesel and not a hemi or something

  • @rick6084 The HEMI V-8 is only used in a Chrysler product. If you knew anything about trucks you would not have said that. Ford only has a 6.2 V-8 in the Super Duty's or a 6.7 Diesel V-8.

  • @volkswagenaustin03 whoa whoa whoa there is hemis in chrystler 300, jeep grand cherokee, dodge magnum, dodge charger, dodge durango and the chrystler truck idk the model.. and i NEVER said that ford only has a 6.2 because i know they are not the only ones...thumbs up if u guys agree!

  • @rick6084 Did you ever go to school and learn how to read and write properly? Obviously you have no clue what I was actually saying.

  • @rick6084 all those are chrysler products bud and you should really spell check your typing

  • how much did you spend on gas on that?

  • 0-60 in 7s. not bad

  • I'd rather be Cummin than Strokin! :D

  • @mykulc But Strokin lasts longer! :D

  • @mykulc Why? When you Cumm the funs all over!

  • @mykulc not anymore the 6.7 is the best diesel engine in a truck today you can cumm up your ass

  • TEST DRIVE!

  • Whats your 0-60? it looks roughly 7-8 secs.. My 07 silverado 5.3 1500 chipped with an intake does 0-60 in 7 secs. It also helps its -20`c where i live too i guess :P

  • ik its not made for racing dip shit i have a 2011 dodge cummins

  • Power stroke aint bad til 75mph and then ot just shits out lol

  • my granny can shift faster than this automatic

  • what was the point of your video?

  • @Mike0in0Texas THAT WAS FOR YOU TO WATCH DUMMY . JAJAJ THAT'S HE'S POINT.

  • According to the 2012 owners manual, the engine controller won't allow full "throttle" until the coolant reaches a certain temperature. Minor correction...diesels don't have a throttle. They're always "wide open". The accelerator controls the amount of fuel fed to the engine to control it's speed. Very lean at idle, very rich at full power. Also, your vehicle has a data recorder which monitors driving habits. If you deliberately abuse your engine and something goes wrong, your warranty is void.

  • hahaha 5.2 mpg

  • Honda killer! lol.

  • Are you sure it isn't electric? Wow it is quiet. Not a ford fan but maybe I should be. Nice truck I like the gauges too

  • You didn't even let it warm up? Really? Do you understand how diesel engines work? No wonder diesels have become more unreliable than they did back in the 90's, no one treats them right. I bet you don't let it idle to cool off either. Just saying.

  • @RacingRocks12 he probably would have even 3% horsepower more if he let it warm up to operating temp

  • @RacingRocks12

I know, i laugh everytime i see car/trucks with boost at the track or out messing around......they make a few passes, then park and shut it off the milisecond the car comes to a complete stop.

  • @RacingRocks12

You don't need to warm up your car, it isn't the 1920's... change your oil every 3,000 miles or lube your wheel bearings... These blocks are made from a special iron.

  • @cromartie800 Special iron? Really? You don't need to warm up a car before abusing the hell out of it?? I would have to disagree.. I suppose you could drive it without warming it up (which I would not even do) but it would be very wise to reach normal operating temp before going full throttle like that. That is if you want the engine to go more than 100K. If you have a turbo you need to let it idle b4 trng it off so the oil don't cook on the turbo.

  • @ktumbleweed special iron? LMFAOOOOOOOO son this guy hass noo idea what he is talking about

  • @Gtbomb1

Yeah, it is called compacted vermicular graphite iron. It is mostly used in V diesels that require extra strength and less weight. :)

  • @ktumbleweed

It is called compacted vermicular graphite iron. It is mostly used in V diesels that require extra strength and less weight. My 300SD Mercedes has almost 500,000 miles on it, and it has never been warmed up.

  • @cromartie800 #1 Your Mercedes 300SD does not have a V engine, it is an inline 5 cyl. #2 the last year for the SD was 1985, the first year CVGI was used in Diesel engines was 1999. #3 CVGI has nothing to do with the warming of the engine, it is simply used as a lighter stronger metal. Do you frequently go to WOT on your Mercedes before it warms up?? Be honest.. #4 CVGI is not used on the piston, cylinder walls, bearings, rings, or valves.. Have a nice day.

  • @ktumbleweed

The last year for the 300SD was 1993. The w116 78-81,81-85 W126 (only SDLs until 92) (92-93 W140 300SD... I'm just saying with all the better metals/ drive by wire... you don't need to worry! With most new diesel engines they use al for inlines, but iron is still used for V engines...I'll have my nice day!

  • @cromartie800 What the hell does drive by wire have to do with the engine warming up? Nothing! It is just throttle control. I don't care what kind of metal you use, you can't get around expansion and contraction. If you don't want to warm up your engine that's fine. The rest of us that know better will continue to do so. BTW most manufactures recommend the engine be at operating temp before heavy loads are applied. But what would they know!!!

  • @cromartie800 Your correction of the last year for the 300SD still does not take it to 1999 which is the first year for CVGI. Just saying..

  • @RacingRocks12 How do you know he didn't let it warm up enough? he's starting at the start of the on ramp. Do you think he parks his truck there for long periods of time?

    just saying.

  • @mark9021 mate, hes looking at the tempurature gague on the dash, haha

  • @mark9021 ....because the coolant temperature gauge said "C"...

  • @RacingRocks12 I don't think Americans in general know how to drive these days (I'm American). When a car runs away, they don't even know how to put it in reverse.

  • @taitai907 Americans do not know how to drive. The whole Toyota thing was only an issue in the states and nowhere else.... I wonder why lol.

  • @7477238 Someone slap me. Why would one put their car in reverse when it runs away? I meant neutral.

  • @RacingRocks12 Just listen to his voice. Hillbillys ftw

  • @RacingRocks12 I don't think people read temperature gauges nowadays. Manufacturers are dropping them from cars too. It's kinda sad. I find them handy for gauging when the engine's warm enough to turn the heater fan on during a cold day. Otherwise, I fill the cabin with cold air.

  • @cheezgrated It pisses me off my mazda 3 doesnt have one. I have no idea when its safe to rev out a little. I usually wait 10 min before any hot rodding. It does have a blue light on the tach and when that goes off (usually about 2.5 min) then the engine is warm enough to blow hot air.

  • @MangoSmoothie16 You could try memorizing the idle speed of the engine when it's warm. Later when you stop at a traffic light, have a quick glance at the tachometer. That should hint at the engine temperature.

  • @cheezgrated That... That is a brilliant idea haha. Thanks!

  • @cheezgrated I use my temp gauge to see when my heater is gonna be hot. I do usually check it before I really put my foot into the pedal but it is sad that manufacturers and dropping them. I really wish more people would learn how to properly take care of a vehicle and not be stupid. When I was like 16, I was lucky I never bent a rod redlining the engine cold. I learned that was bad and learned a little about engines. More people need to learn a little bit.

  • @NKeen1000 Engine tolerances have gotten a lot better now. It's not as easy to bend con rods anymore, and fuel injection has solved cold starting and driving woes. I would still baby my cars though. :)

  • @RacingRocks12 Good point! Looks like it barely hit 100, can't tell though because of Ford's idiot cluster.

  • @RacingRocks12 So true. While technology has brought diesels to a point where they're drive-ability is comparable to gas engines they still need special attention. More and more newer diesel engines show signs of turbo faliure way too early because owners don't understand that they need to idle down the motor before shutting them off. However, I don't miss my 1990 Cummins killing its own battery in the winter time with its intake manifold heater. That would always piss me off.

  • @PlatinumRacing exactly my 90' cummins has the stock turbo with 200k on it. when i get out of the truck usually i let run while im getting my eat belt off and check texts i got then i shut it off. But its 0 degrees here and 1 cycle with the heater and it fires right up!

  • @RacingRocks12 thats the first thing I noticed...diesel engines love heat, they run best when they are hot...

  • @RacingRocks12 eludicate please.

  • @RacingRocks12 the temp gauge still reads low until about 60 deg C. In gauge mode in the cluster you can see the actual temp on a digital readout. Do you even own a truck?

  • @RacingRocks12 damn ur life sux!! OLOLOL

  • @RacingRocks12 running it like that cold or shutting it down without at least 5 mins cool down is a really good way to destroy your turbo

  • how do you pay for gas?

  • @immortal4942 He has a brand new diesel truck that he can afford to abuse the hell out of. without it being broke in yet, or warmed up to operating temp. He obviously has more money than brains, so he can afford the fuel!!

  • You need some gas, and your 5.2 mpg isn't helping that

  • @ryaneric9 its a diesel. he doesn't need gas

  • Superchips will probably wake up the engine

  • turn the overdrive off maaaaan

  • wasnt even warm..

  • Lol 0:11 was he about to crash the guard rail?

  • yo - my 60 HP opel Corsa beats that easily :-D

  • @ua462hd sounds like a gay little car

  • Love the gauge cluster.

  • thats gay it redlines at 3500 no fucking wonder

  • @salvatrucho13ist it's a diesel.. that's why.

  • cummins

  • 7 seconds is pretty quick for this truck in my opinion. BUT if you wanna see a fast automobile check out my 06 straight piped mustang gt ;]

  • only 3k rpm that pretty low..they should have made it higher and it wouldve been faster but either way it was pretty quick for a huge truck

  • @solarlightning well its a diesel, and a huge one at that.. so you have to believe that the red line is right where it has to be

  • my moms lawn mower ran fast as fuck when i put mid grade in it

  • @goodinsrt8 what dose that have to do with the video redneck fuck

  • @danthedolphin Nothing, i just thought i would share. Why do you have to be so rude?

  • @danthedolphin at least that "redneck fuck" can spell and has proper punctuation, what's that make you? that makes you a DUMB FUCKING PRICK.

  • Damn, that truck is nice a quiet....

  • thats why you get a 2011 or up cummins because you can choose the manual tranny, and also you should of powerbraked it might of helped fords shitty repuation

  • not a good idea when your running on empty and getting onto a highway

  • why's it shifting at 3,000 and not 4, which is redline?

  • @marvarvelous what automatic vehicle do you know of that shits right at the redline?

  • @DTownReviews My mom's crv does. My grandfather's buick does. With gasoline engines they will shift right at or a few rpms before it when warm, just put your foot down.

  • Ya need more diesel there dude

  • Such a big engine, such a small power output. Not very economical, noisey but hey, this is of course America we are talking about who think 45bhp/litre is a good output! Alhough I have to say I like the design of the dash :)

  • @jamiebridges123 400 hp and 800 lb ft. Economical well yes it is a diesel. Noisy? Listen to the video, engine is quiet.

  • Not bad for a fatass american vehicle. Love the speedo, a whopping 100mph!!

  • why did the CAPTCHA make me spell osama obama?

  • no wonder the gas tank is empty lol.

  • I've rode in a new 6.7 Powerstroke and a 6.7 Cummins. Both trucks were stock. I've always been a Cummins fan but i have to admit the 6.7 powerstroke would blow it away. Those new Ford superdutys arent bad trucks. For all the ford haters you should take one for a spin someday.

  • @CJBroesky FORD - DRIVE ONE!

  • @CJBroesky Both are amazing motors for what they are. It all just depends what you want to do. Fuel economy vs best in class power. Cummins is a great motor i'm not hatin. But fuck chevy :P

  • Wow! Not impressive

  • that may qualify for the slowest ford i have ever seen! next to the escort that is

    -__-

  • I love this truck, but it is just too dang quiet!

  • so many shit talkers lol its STOCK and stock to stock it flat out kick the shit out of a cummins in every possible way.. even the ever so bad ass ford and chevy ass kickin HO cummins dodge thought could keep up with the V8's lol

  • This is fast considering these guys have massive tires from the factory, big tires plus 3.55 gears will slow a truck down alot.

  • Could make a nice cup O' coffee in the time it takes this thing to do its business....

  • so slow

  • @foxracing9143 slow....what do you drive? A jet?

  • @foxracing9143 Mate, diesels are design for lifting and high torque output, not for drag racing, for diesels, this is a pretty fast one.

  • Burn baby burn! Floor it!

  • It rarely went above 3000 rpm.. That's not really a lot even for a cold engine eh?

  • @warren6815 diesel engines arent made to go much over 3000 rpm

  • @ktmryder17 just not from the factory lol

  • @warren6815 Cold, and brand new diesel engine.

  • You forgot to demonstrate the wasted unburned fuel (black smoke) these engines produce while you diesel truck drivers try to act like you're "king of the road".

I'd rather watch a steam engine train take off. Its at least interesting to watch the wheels.

  • @keyofdavid888 fuck off and go drive your Prius pussy... Ill be burning coal till the day I die.

  • @keyofdavid888 the wheels on a train can't spin and lay rubber like on a cummins truck can they? I would much rather watch and vehicle takeoff then watch a train takeoff... and compared to your little piece of shit, diesel truck do own the road since they could drive right over you with little to no damage? now go fill up your prius for 20 dollars and have a nice day.

  • @keyofdavid888 you fucking dumb-shit a new 6.7 dont smoke you retard. its called DPF look it up cunt.

  • @slingingofstars69 wow someone is trippin maybe you been riding behind a diesel for a while.

Better pull over and get your breath...

  • @keyofdavid888 you do realize that most/all of the new diesel trucks produced now don't smoke like they used to

  • whatta bunch of worthless pussies commenting...the engine was up to the cool side of normal temp...and when you floor any vehicle the instant mpg is going to be low...

  • Cold engine, Fuckface.

  • you sound like a NERD!!!

  • OMG WOW and you were going down a hill

  • low fuel ,low weight :)

  • You don't say that this thing needs 7.9 mpg on idle? :D Nearly 30 Liter per 100 km... Or 5.2 mpg with wide open throttle -> 45 Liters... I thought that the Q7 V12 TDI of a workmate is thursty (15 liters/100km), but this damn thing is heavy.

  • great way to waste 50k on a piece of garbage that cant get out of its own way.

  • @acer1827 Your an idiot.

  • @halflife103 dont be upset with me just because I speak the truth.

  • FORDS SUCK!!! NUFF SAID

  • you can see that the computer is short shifting, probably because the engine is stone cold. this video doesnt represent the acceleration under normal operating temp

  • It sounded like a prius.....

  • @mitch50100 you would know....

  • @mitch50100 dont all new diesel

  • Good stuff!

  • That's actually not even that slow for a pickup.

  • Now I see why the they shit all over duramax's

  • my duramax would have allreDY been on the next exit by the time this powerchoke got to 60

  • Nice..I got a 2011.. Pure truck nd power! Drive the best!

  • Interior looks cool but that hazard switch on top of the steering ruins it! It's like it's been taken from an 80s Ford escort lolol

  • JDYDesigns first you wont get as much tow load in that chevy a much as a powerstroke I don't care what you say. 2nd F250 and 2500 Dodge hold value unlike gas ones. Get your facts straight. But very good video..New Fords are sharp looking trucks...

  • who the hell would buy a truck new...? they depreciate in value worse than a toyota, they really arent that good, and I can get better towing, hauling, and capacity in a 1978 chevy... and just as good fuel economy.

  • Alright for all the dickheads out there who are bitching about mpg or saying that it's slow, all of you can go fuck yourselves. It's his goddamn truck and he can do whatever the hell he wants with it.

  • You candyasses that dont drive a turbo diesel dont know what ur missing. Im not a ford fan myself, but that thing is quick. Ya it probly cost 10 bucks to do that, but its worth it. Ur Prius sure as shit wont launch u like that.

  • @Linx2131ofOctane my 95 accord launches better. manual lx, meaning 130hp 139ft/lbs torque. and it's fucking 18 years old. trucks as daily drivers are shit. if you tow stuff a lot, then it's worth it. if you get a truck to have a truck, you're an ass, all they do is take up 2 spaces at the store and consume fuel like a pothead eating after a day of smoking without eating between bowls.

  • @rekareaper Yeah and my 2004 Envoy launches better than your accord hahaha, automatic 4 speed, meaning 285 ft-lb torque and 300 hp. As soon as I graduate from college I am going to buy a 2500 durmax. Just because, I love diesels.

  • @berto1014 Stock 1995 accord lx 0-60 is 8.3 seconds. Stock 2004 gmc envoy 0-60 is 9.9 seconds. 1. Even stock vs stock your envoy wouldn't keep up. 2. My accord has a little over 100 hp more than a stock 95 lx. So no, your envoy does not launch better, it can't even launch better than a well kept stock 95 accord lx.

  • @rekareaper 8.4 seconds* for the 95 accord lx.

  • @berto1014 Also, this truck is faster than your envoy. So if my accord launches better than this truck, which launches better than your envoy, how does your envoy launch better than my accord? Assuming your envoy is stock, I fail to see any common sense to your post. You obviously posted without any research what so ever. I figured a college student would at least know to do that.

  • @berto1014 There is website that's fairly useful for finding information, it's called google. There are quite a few others as well; msn, yahoo, bing, and ask. I figured this information might be useful to someone who talks, or in this case, types without knowing.

  • @berto1014 Just because I think it's funny as hell, because you talk as if envoys are fast, even a 2011 PRIUS is faster than your p.o.s.

  • @Linx2131ofOctane Just to show how slow this truck actually is, a 2011 prius 0-60 is 9.8 seconds. 2011 F250 6.7L powerstroke 0-60 is 9.4 seconds. Granted the F250 is a truck, it's still not much faster.

  • Wow, way to beat on a cold engine. I sure hope that wasn't your own vehicle.
