Why do people say you cheated?

Even if you did copy, it's still amazing! Copying is a lot harder than it looks, my drawings always end up like crap when I copy, it's much easier doing it off the top of my head :P but there's nothing wrong with a reference, you're amazing!

Why dont you draw the lines with black, why green? that way it will be much faster and easier.

@spinosaurus1 she uses green for sketches. @DJCoulz then reduces the opacity of the layer the green is on and then creates another layer and outlines her sketch on that layer in black. It's all in her deviantArt.

First off I'm a girl, and second, there is nothing wrong with using a reference. I try really hard to keep my drawings on Model. so I use references so I don't miss anything, it helps me improve and it helps me study the facial structures of all the characters.

But you never get to develop your own style or gimic with characters. Like you might draw their nose a little bigger, or different eyes.

I've seen your other stuff on your alt account. The style their is nice, you should try to incorporate into your lion king stuff.

@amethystducky There's a difference between copying/tracing and referancing. Using a ref for a pose or facial features is perfectly acceptable. It's when you trace or recolor an already drawn pic without giving credit that it become unacceptable.
