  • Hi Ed, I realize that this is a Fantom X video, but I have another question about the Fantom G. How do you save and export SMFs from the Fantom G into your computer, to be used in a DAW? I can see the option in the Song Utility menu, but when I go to save it, the screen gives me a warning about some type of protection or copyright infringement. Please advise if you know to to get around this little problem. Thanks always for your kindness and prompt response!

  • Hey Ed it's me agin. I look through all your videos and could not find what I was looking for. Every time I import oneshot drums into my fantom g6 they save at 120 bpm. So when I want to make a song at around 90 bpm they slow down and sound way off. How can I fix this? Can you make a video about importing oneshot drums. I'm driving my self nuts trying to figure this out! Lol! Please Help Ed! Thanks so much!

  • wow I have had my fantom x7 board for almost 4 years and im STILL learning tricks on it lol thanks Ed! this will without a shout of a doubt help me! much appreciated

  • @caressxofxsteel Your welcome! I still have more videos coming for the Fantom X that I think you will enjoy. Take care,

    -Ed.

  • @diazeo awesome! i shall be staying tuned! oh by the way! i have been needing to ask you.....is it common for the realtime control knobs on fantom x keyboards to start failing after about 3 years of consistent use? i wanna say around last thanksgiving or so, i had to take my x7 back to the shop and have the pots on the realtime control knobs redone or replaced i cant remember but obviously i have no issues now im just wondering if you had emails n such asking you about that

  • @diazeo at least from MY end, its been 50/50. half of them had said that its normal for the realtime control knobs to start failing after a couple years, others looked at me like i was insane haha thanks again sir!

  • Hey Ed I just want to take the time to thank you for all your videos on the Fantom G! Every thing I know I learned from you! So thank you soooooo much! I got my Fantom back in May 2011 and I'm running right through it! I know you can't answer every ones questions but I have a big Problem! Every time I bring in a one shot drum sample it sets at 120 bpm, so when I do a song at like 82 bpm's it slows the drum sound down. How do I change this. All I want is my drums that I sample to work at every t

  • @TheRealJTiz Hello, Thank you for your kindwords. Check out my videos on editing a sample and I think you will find what you are looking for. I will also rewatch my video and make sure that the answer is there. If is isn't I shoot a new video on that topic. I also have more sample tips and tricks that I think you will love.

    Take care,

    -Ed.

  • Hi Ed can you do a video on how to do automated chord playing, by pressing one key to play an entire chord on the Fantom X8, thanks!

  • @muzixco Yes, you can, sort of. In order for that function you'll have to create a pattern and use the RPS function on the Fantom X. I am already planning on shooting a video on it so look out for it next week.

  • The Fantom X is a beast! Thanks for teaching us tips and tricks, cause the manual can be intimidating, lol looks like a science book.

  • @bravomovies Thanks! Yeah, the manuals can be intimidating, but you just have to read them a little at a time. The more time you spend reading and slowly learning the more you will get out of the board. Everytime I get a new board I spend time going back forth from the board to the manual. Trust me, some of those science terms will start to make sense and you will have ah ha moments. Take care, -Ed.

  • I'm on the West Coast right now. thanks anyway. Love the way u explain every detail!

  • Hey Ed, still waiting on ur vid on syncing the Fantom w/ the MPC 25oo... Thanks

  • @BKLYNBOY7 The problem is that I do not own an MPC. I have to find someone to let me borrow one so I can figure it out and then film it. Its just hard getting someone to give me theirs for a week. Do you live in Brooklyn? If you do, let me know.

  • @GREGCAST70 No problem. I hope it helps. :)
