idk, this might help some people. After I did everything he said, no download video showed up . So I pressed ctrl+shift+Q hit it twice and the video just automatically downloaded.

Still works in facebook in 2011 (almost 2012). Just start playing the video and the downloadhelper icon becomes coloured and starts spinning in your browser. Right click it -> Media -> Choose the one u want to download

YO there is no download video button on the facebook video.....

@smack72 The user may have privacy settings for videos they post. Just play the video and then look in the download helper tab with the 3 little floating balls. There should be a set of numbers for that video and then save it, and open it to play and make sure you chose the right set of numbers lol.

I would like to covert the MPEG-4 file to a avi file for windows movie maker.

***PEOPLE...AFTER INSTALLING THE ADD-ON, LOOK ON THE UPPER LEFT-HAND CORNER OF YOUR SCREEN WHERE THE "BACK & FORWARD" ARROWS ARE...That little molecular icon will begin to animate once you play the video, from there, click it and you should be able to download.
