PETA has been utilizing more and more extreme tactics over the years and it's cost them a great deal of public support. There are many issues where reasonable, fair-minded people can be in honest disagreement. PETA does not see this and will brand anyone who disagrees with them as either ignorant or evil; which they imagine justifies their actions.
In Canada, hunts are dictated by science. There is NO WAY the government would allow a hunt on a threatened or endangered species. There are MILLIONS of seals up in the north. They adversely effect the fish population. A humane slaughter of a few seals is not going to damage the population.

I find PETA hating on the Canadian seal hunt to be disrespectful to Canadians because it's on one of our cultural practices from a long time ago and people who do it, it's their way of life so maybe PETA could allow people to live their lives in their own ways rather than trying to force their beliefs on other cultures. I don't say this lightly but it seems kind of Hitlerish.

Interesting they don't show him actually put the pie in her face, probably because they would have to show how he physically assaulted her, tripping her, grabbing ahold of her, spinning her around and pushing the pie in her face.
I'd love to know why that guy wasn't arrested. Not only did he commit assault but he was wearing a mask while committing an illegal act, also a crime under the Criminal Code of Canada. I guess it's okay to pie someone unless they're a govt official.

If that is true (in which I think it is) then I think even more less of that asshole/tool dressed as a dog. To ridicule her and harass her is bad enough, but to physically belittle and take advantage of her is beyond terrible and he should be thrown in jail for that. Truth is she wanted to express herself (and I believe she is righteous) and in return she has to deal with a bunch of assholes.

@frosty9595 in case you didnt know....those thousands of animals they kill are terminally ill. because they where rescued from animal testing labs or taken from hoarders. ethical treatment of animals means...taking them out or the repetitive cycle of adoption, abuse and back to the shelter. id rather be too. so would you.

PETA has been utilizing more and more extreme tactics over the years and it's cost them a great deal of public support. There are many issues where reasonable, fair-minded people can be in honest disagreement. PETA does not see this and will brand anyone who disagrees with them as either ignorant or evil; which they imagine justifies their actions.

In Canada, hunts are dictated by science. There is NO WAY the government would allow a hunt on a threatened or endangered species. There are MILLIONS of seals up in the north. They adversely effect the fish population. A humane slaughter of a few seals is not going to damage the population.
