Texas, along with California and Florida, are the three main breeding grounds of collegiate and NFL talent...and to put it in more perspective for you, whistler, over the past 4 years the Pac 10 has sent more guys to the NFL than any other conference... more than the Big 12 and the SEC... and were do the majority of PAC 10 recruits hail from? yes , California...

also, Pete Carroll blew it for USC in that title game against Texas. the trojans had the game in hand. all they needed was that first down and the game would have been over.. but no, P. Carroll took their best player in Reggie Bush out in that series and Texas made the stop. but from a historical perspective the Longhorns aren't even in the same class as Southern Cal. The USC Trojans along with the fighting Irish of Notre Dame are the two most successful programs in division 1A football history.

Hehe, Vince Young didnt get those wins, the defense did. The franchise record is 8 which isnt terrible for an expansion team. Its quite ridiculous people calling the Texans a terrible team, but seriously they are on a steady track to become serious contenders.
