@denvermedibuds420 I just took the PAST a few weeks ago and its a 550yard swim 11 laps down and 11 laps back, the rest is still the same, but they are also making the requirements tougher, if you want to do well in the PAST and make sure you're in shape get the Ironman standards the first time through the PAST and then do a ton of Crossfit training, and swimming and you will be more prepared for everything thats coming
@denvermedibuds420 After going to MEPS (military entrance processing station) you must take the PAST test which consists of swimming 500 yards, running 1 1/2 miles, push ups, pull ups, and sit ups. After that you will be shipped to bmt. Considering all goes well, you'll be shipped to PJ/CCT school to weed out the weak and the people that dont actually want to be there
Vick, thanks for posting this video dude. I forgot about this one and the Cooder video we made, and especially about the shoe polish mustaches! and I love your username, lol. Hope you and your fam are doing well. Miss you guys, and I like reflecting on our fun times making this vid.
@divecommando same here. found a brochure for cct yesterday been watching vids and looking up requirements since i just need to get over the fear of skydiving
@afpj96 ^^ just so you know cct do training that the navy seals, army, and marines do combined with the air force, i sudjest you read up on all 4 for what you might expect, 96% drop rate is because of the combination of Physical training.
How strict are the vision requirements? I've heard they are strict, but your you can be accepted if your eyes are correctable to a certain extent. No one will give me a straight answer. I've passed the PAST and waiting to hear back from the unit I tested with...
I enlisted back in April and i just recently completed the PAST test. Just playing the waiting game now, gotta graduate and get my ship date. I'm training hard for this, and this video is a big inspiration as well. I can't wait to go through this myslef
@beasley1987 this vid looks like it is mostly advanced training, if you can make it this far, then you are probably not gonna fail unless you get hurt or something like that
@DevinChief They're like SEALs and Rangers in that they're a high-risk specialized combat unit. Their main purpose is to take just a handful of USAF CCTs, sneak behind enemy lines, find a suitable spot to make a runway/drop zone, then set up a perimeter, then direct air traffic to the zone, organize drops or direct fire.
@DevinChief What makes them really special is that there may be less then ten of them on the ground, and if the scene become to dangerous to send an aircraft into the area, they're stuck by themselves with nothing but their M4s, their wits, and their pretty red beacons until the site is secure, or until its time to send in the PJs.
@DevinChief yes, in that they're special ops for the Air Force instead of the Navy or Army. thier job is air traffic control, control and comm, directing close air support, etc. they started off as pathfinder, but have since evolved into force multipliers. a cct and his radio are more dangerous than a SEAL platoon, because of the power at his disposal. they have to be just as good as other special ops at shooting and high speed stuff.
Im watching this on my brothers sign in, but anyway; wanted to say good job to whoever shot this footage. Great Team video, one of the better ones Ive seen. Good job seriously. Abe Martens CCT.
indoc is for both cct is just shorter than pjs in tech school our squadron was located across from the cct and pj squadron they both do indoc they are just different lengths
Yeah. Alot. But that doesnt make for a good music video does it? lol So yeah you have to learn EMT type stuff and how to accuratly place a bomb via air strike.
well... part of a cct's job is air traffic control... and u know its a lot of study study study. i actually went to school with ccts. im an air traffic apprentice
@DonzeJ Hey dummy, I was saying that training as in "getting into shape" isnt that important for someone going into these schools. They'll take care of your physical capabilities once youre in the pipeline. Its the right attitude and mindset thats most important. Be a PT stud all you want, and pay attnetion all you want. If youre dumb as a box of rocks then youre gonna kick rocks, right the hell out of the program.
@DonzeJ before u call someone a dummy plz make sure ur not sending the comment to urself lol. and yes u need to be smart and in great shape. indoc is nothing but pt and if u cant make the pt requirements then ur out
@CodyWolfe88 Hey, just kind of curious if you have been to CCT training yet? Or if you even still want to do it? It's always interesting to go over old posts and see how things turned out.
@ugadawg92 well I am still in college about to transfer to a school with ROTC and I decided if I don't get Pilot or Nav ill try for special tactics officer. Three more years of school sadly.... I'm still hitting the pool every few days though haha Good luck to everyone
@CodyWolfe88 Yeah man I'm gonna start at UGA in January once I get back from Army Basic and AIT. Then I'll start ROTC. So I guess we'll be big enemies.
AF CC are some of the most elite and well trained units of the military, they are trained to go way behind enemy lines and be able to call in only limited air support. These guys were literally the first in Afghanistan and were literally riding horses with the afghan rebel supporting them. They have a 90% attrition rate their training and combat training is difficult, on top of all that they must maintain almost perfect proficiency in FAA Air traffic Control skills
what are some of the ages that try out for this group im 19 turning 20 in july and im thinking of joining the air force and i want to do combat training
Not gonna lie, this is the best Special Tactics training video I've found so far.

huge part. air traffic control
Equanox214 2 years ago 13
@Equanox214
yea but if you expect to be controlling from a safe tower on an airfield your wrong
you either operate with elite special ops teams to call in air strikes
or in 3-4 man special tactics teams that deploy deap into enemy lines to set up air drops, recon, and pound the enemy with air support
Go CCT- Bring The Rain
