BS... If that wolf had been a member of a pack, even with the wolverines ball of fur to protect against quick bites couldn't of saved him from pack attack & I believe he'd be history today....

@Urhoboman5 I have not seen that lengthy footage for some time. And having no expectation that there would be changes, I made no special notes on it. It too had it's peculiarities. At the end of THAT one, the wolf was seen exiting at high speed into the woods on absolutely dry ground. Crazy.

Wolves kill by suffocating their victims with a strong and steady bite to the throat. He was trying to reach for the wolverine´s throat, which is pretty stupid and desperate since the wolverine practically doesn ´t have a throat. But right above its almost non-existent neck, it has a set of serious fangs. The wolverine stood its ground pretty well and didn´t do so badly in the end.
I never realized that Wolverines were this bad ass check this tough little sob out between 1:06 and 1:14, he's like "I got you bitch!". He's totally wrapped around the wolf.

Many times the wolf will return WITH his pack and chase off the stupid wolverine.

Should the wolf pack have many wolves, wolverine being the versatile animal it is can always climb a tree. They are supreme survivors & dominate the frozen environment they live in.

The wolverine also has the advantage that its skin is very much like a badgers, nice and thick, so most of the wolf bites won't come close to puncturing it. It's also loose, like a cat's, so even bites that puncture won't hit anything vital.
And all that with an attitude like a badger having a bad day.
The wolverine has the advantage in this fight, since it is on the bottom, he had an opportunity to latch onto the wolfs throat the whole time. The wolf was lucky it didn't go for the death blow. Being on top isn't always an advantage, the wolverine could have killed it in seconds.
Notice at the end the wolf is trying to get away from the wolveine. Wolverines are mean animals, they don't take any crap. Tempermental wise, the wolverine makes the wolf look like a sissy little school girl.

There are a few factors with the wolverine that make it tough. first, it's got an insane ammount of muscle on it's body. second, It's sizable body weapons occupy a fairly small area, and third The natural instinct of mustelids that size is to attack when threatened regardless of the size of the other party.

The wolverine won because the wolf was smart, and gave up once it was too tired to fight. That wolverine was still rarin' to fight some more. The longer the fight went on, the more likely the wolverine would get in a killing blow, so since the wolf couldn't kill it it retreated and gave up its food.

Of course its possible for a bear to kill a wolverine but from all the footage I've ever seen they just seem scared and bemused by the feisty little runts. I mean what in its right mind that small would take a bears dinner? As for the wolf one on one it would get deaded, probably not out right but like this wolf it would just ship to much punishment go away and die. This wolf knew when to quit.

The wolverine seems to fight alot better on its back all balled up unlike most animals. if the wolf would get on its back during this fight, it would of been killed easily. these little bastards will fight off full sized bears because there is no way to get ahold of anything vital on a fistey little ball from hell!

The wolverine also has the advantage that its skin is very much like a badgers, nice and thick, so most of the wolf bites won't come close to puncturing it. It's also loose, like a cat's, so even bites that puncture won't hit anything vital.
And all that with an attitude like a badger having a bad day.

The wolverine has the advantage in this fight, since it is on the bottom, he had an opportunity to latch onto the wolfs throat the whole time. The wolf was lucky it didn't go for the death blow. Being on top isn't always an advantage, the wolverine could have killed it in seconds.

If wolverines hunted in packs, well, thats pretty much all i have to write, you get the idea. It got that wolf, you hear it crying out in pain twice. It don't want none of that wolverine. If the wolf is so dominant, than why can't it kill that wolverine? A wolf is a pussy compared to a wolverine. If wolveines hunted in packs, wolves would know their place or they would be extinct. Wolfs are amazing predators but they arent made to fight one vs one. Wolverine may be smaller but they are dangerous aswell. the wolf can pretty mutch injury the wolverine badly, but fot eh wolverine its a bit harder to injure the wolf badly the wolf got hurt idd, but just like a lession stay off.

There are a few factors with the wolverine that make it tough. first, it's got an insane ammount of muscle on it's body. second, It's sizable body weapons occupy a fairly small area, and third The natural instinct of mustelids that size is to attack when threatened regardless of the size of the other party.
These are the same traits that make badgers so damm deadly.

masterhmh is spot-on the wolverine would have killed the wolf-it wins everytime-and there are 3 vids of 3 single wolverines driving of packs of wolves -up to 8 wolves-the wolves dont even attempt to defend their kills. this wolverine got the food and wolf run-away so wolverine won-wolverine cant easily catch a wolf with wolf having long spinly legs-so wolverine doesnt persue wolf-wolverines never give up if food is at stake and usually they rob wolf packs of their kills-wolves are weaklings

The wolverine won because the wolf was smart, and gave up once it was too tired to fight. That wolverine was still rarin' to fight some more. The longer the fight went on, the more likely the wolverine would get in a killing blow, so since the wolf couldn't kill it it retreated and gave up its food.
