I just played with him up at the red light the week before his death. We talked a bit and well, I was still in shock from hearing about John Madden's death. This is just too much.
John Madden was the kat that introduced the musicians at the open mic at the red light cafe where Danny and myself and many others played. He died this past year as well. He always opened the show with a few tunes and was a great musician.

In the mid 90's I practically lived at the Red Light Cafe, ran sound there most of '96, and along with Danny, was a regular performer at the Wednesday open mic. He was always incredibly genuine and I am glad to have known him. I am incredibly shocked and saddened.
I just read that some nut beat this poor man to death and it broke my heart. I pray peace and forgiveness for his friends and families hearts so they can get past this as they mourn this man I never heard of him before 5 minutes ago but it made me so sad that the world is getting so brutal, no one deserves to die like that
