For a casual guild (like my 10 man) It is so much easier to do it this way, with average gear (5.7 lolscore)

Also its less of a retard check this way, getting people to stack and dps the right target seems near impossible for some rediculous reason.

why is the ooze eating guy so slow on eating the ooze, i did it yday , and you have 4 ooze patches before the add comes that needs to be slowed (gas), so you can eat the ooze up and than go to the next ooze leaving you have around 10 sec hitting the adds/boss

make a new bar or use one of the current ones. then go to the group settings of the bar u want to use for sword and board. go down to filter and make sure the type is buffs. then go down to white list and only check sword and board. You will need to have sword and board activate at least once for it to show up on the list.

@Larael1001 I agree with TheSmalenGuy, for those of us that don't have POS computers addons do not affect our gameplay negatively. Addons make your job easier and things that you would otherwise not react to fast enough much easier to notice. Also it is a preference thing I use about 10 addons for raiding which IMO isn't that many I know people like for instance the guy in this video who use upwards of 30 addons.

We one shot festergut and rotface and both of our 10 man groups took multiple attempts to down this boss. So yes, he is harder.

@cyberplumber06  - Rotface is definitely harder than Saurfang (I am speaking of 25 man version, haven't done 10 man yet). Our guild Pantheon/Anvilmar has had 25-man Saurfang on farm since week 1 of patch 3.3. Spent 4 hours so far on Rotface and closest was 1.5%. We'll probably down him tonight, but we definitely put Saurfang on farm quicker.

Eating slime puddles felt really slow when we were trying him. I'm not sure if this was because of lag or not.

We spawned a couple in the middle at the beginning for him and he just cleared out the ones outside the middle and kept the middle ones up because they are in the best spot

Never try to keep more than 1 active unless it's the first 15 seconds of the fight. That's pretty much all there is to it. You'll always have more than enough energy from then on. Also, it seemed that the slime pools grew faster the bigger they got, because there was one attempt earlier on where I just got flooded =/

My basic strategy for the slime pools in this video was: 1: keep the pool in the middle and 2: close the 2 new ones asap before they get a chance to grow.

Oh and one other thing, does Festergut have a 5 or 7 min enrage timer? My guild cleared to them but called it a night cause it was late, but we are worried about the enrage for 25 man because we think we might lack the DPS if it's a 5 min enrage.

So the premise of the fight is:

1. Abom eat's the gas on the ground

2. When slime spawns, Abom put's the slowing debuff on the slime and raid burns slime.

3. Rinse repeat until phase 2

4. Burn the fuck outa him as fast as possible.

As far as I know you have to have 2 tanks for phase 3. A debuff stacks on the tank in an increasing amount that damages the entire raid. If one tank tanked all of p3 i think that it would stack so much that the amount of damage they would be doing would be too much to heal through. If you split the stacks you have multiple sources doing aoe dmg to the raid but its a lesser amount from each of them. I am pretty sure the debuff multiplies rather than adds dmg so that is why can't have 1 tank.

Yeah after rewatching it I can confirm it multiplies. 1 stack does around 200 dmg, 2 stack does over 400, and 3 stacks is doing about 1200.

the goo starts on left and switches off. They target a random person that isn't the tank. The clouds, or pools, are created on the locations of 2 random people

Once you get used to it and get your strategy down it turns out to be quite easy and almost as easy as the first four. It still is harder though because it actually takes some sort of planning rather than just zerging it like you can do with the first four bosses.

This one doesn't seem too bad, it's just a consistency and control fight with a twist (the whole abom thing). Festergut seems like it's gonna be the cockblock with the enrage timer for some lower tier guilds, but hey they'll probably remove his enrage next week once people cry =/
