  • Woah I thought I was going crazy when he changed lol....

  •  Rufus 

  • It's a GREAT film....not quite "Les Invasions Barbares"..but I got it from the library..watched both Quebec and Intl versions...very up-to-date and realistic..no BS period,,

  • very nice song , relaxing....

  • Wow. Fabulous song, fabulous costume. So Rufusey (in a stately way)

But the laack of head movements... Must have been hard for him.

  • @bloodiedXangel Funny regarding head movement, i was thinking EXACTLY the same thing when i watched it..

  • WONDERFUL SONG !!!!

    WONDERFUL RUFUS !!!

    VERY nice clip :)))

  • good work and great idea to write the lirycs! well done!

  • Is the soundtrack from this movie, commercially available?

Or is there a recording of this aria as sung by Rufus in the movie, that is available anywhere?

    I've searched but found nothing.

  • If you find anything can you tell me? I would LOVE to have this song ^^

  • It's an aria from Gretry's opera "Zemire et Azor". Not a lot of CD recordings are available because it is not one of those virtuoso operas by classical masters that get recorded and staged thousand times. While this is a beautiful beautiful piece laid on beautiful lyrics, its melody is rather simple. Rufus's unique voice makes it more interesting but you might not be so thrilled by a real operatic version.

  • ... and half naked figure of Diane Kruger helps too.

  • err what happens to rufus' face at the end ? Im confused.

Why does he turn ugly for a few seconds?

  • hahaha his name is Marc Labrèche and his a really good actor. this is from a movie in Québec, L'Age Des Ténèbre.

  • But. Why does rufus turn into him?!?!

  • Because the main character Marc Labrèche is imagining himself as the Prince. And then is being called back to reality. Cinematic technique, is all!

  • Thanks for this!!!!!

  • Cher/chère ami/amie:

    Encore étonné pour ton commentaire...

As tu entendu parler de "publicité"..

  • @quim63

I agree 100% with your approach on the matter . "we, the pirates " make possible the global diffusion of the work of the authors that would otherwise, remain in the shadow.

For instance..I "discovered" only yesterday about the movie "L'age des tenebres "

I downloaded it and as soon as it started, I "discovered" and researched :

    1. Du moment qu'on aime

    2, Rufus Wairight

    3. an Opera yet unknown "Zemir et Azor"

= I enriched myself with beautiful or interesting things = CULTURE

  • If someone had not posted this, I would not have even known this beautiful film exists...Now I can seek it out.

  • PS: Isn't Rufus a marvellous (and so unique) vocalist??? If you like this, check out his "Complainte de la butte" on the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. Lovely song, and also in French.

  • and his own songs, especially the ones from his debut album

  • Rufus to me has always seemed an okay looking guy. But when his face turned into Marc Labrèche's (the actor whose character is imagining he's a prince serenading Diane Kruger), I looonged for Rufus back! He suddenly seemed much more handsome than I'd first noticed. :P Mind you, Labrèche is a gifted actor and wonderfully funny comedian.

  • it is a dream sequence. The main character dreams he is the ''singing Prince'', wich explains the face morphing. (Morphing with the main character)

  • This is wonderful.Rufus looks amazing in this.

    title of song?

  • TROVATA!!!

    André-Ernest-Modeste Grétry

    Zemir et Azor

    Aria N°. 13 (Ariette)

  • Azor: Du moment qu on aime L'on devient si "ux.

  • Mi auguro tu abbia visto 'Jesus of Montreal'secondo me il suo CA-PO-LA-VO-RO

  • so this is a dream sequence or something?

is he in this film much?

  • Hi penroyaltea:

    I don't know. I haven't seen the movie yet.

Rufus is not the main character but I think he has a relevant supporting role

  • @quim63

    = CULTURE..knowledge ...

I will surely share my "discoveries " with some friends and even if one of them buys the movie ( DVD ) or buys the Opera ( CD ) , I, " pirate" will have contributed "commercially" with the copyrights authors...

Not one cent in my pocket but nourishment to my cultures soul...

mapo69 can go fuck himself !

    Ciao

  • He's in this scene and one other near the end of the film.

  • what's the title of this chanson?

  • Beautiful! But face morphing=very disturbing!

  • Wonderful! Thank you.

  • eee! wonderful! BRAVO! great as always Rufus :]

  • I dream about being Rufus a lot.
