Sweet car. I have a 2010 Maxima SV. Love the car. So on the fence w this STILLEN air intake thing? Don't know what to do? Some people say do it, others say crazy to do it! Always owned very fast cars, extremely satisfied w the performance it has, handling is unbelievable. Would like just a little more "ooomff!" when I step on it and sound. Maybe just swap out stock air filter for K&N? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated....

flowmasters sound so gay on the VQ35 they not for the VQ engine i think magnaflow, borla, megan and hks best exhaust for the VQ

sounds just like my boys v6 accord with flowmasters and you dont have 310hp btw with Stillen intake you loose power until ur on highway

Pretty cool. But IMO if you're going to blackout the front you have to do the rims. It looks half-assed otherwise.

hey Nice work there .. im planing to get the cold air intake and flow masters 40 series with tips .. but i gota ask as Cvt do u feel the acceleration is faster than normal with ur mods ?

@Kazumaso Yes and yes. I did the bolt ons in two segments. First I did the intake and took notes on performance before and after. After, there was an increased sound, slightly increased Throttle response, not much change in acceleration, and no change in fuel economy.

@Kazumaso Then I did the exhaust and there was also a very slight increase in TR, noticeable increase in Accel and noteworthy change in FE. Its not the gain you would feel from an in depth engine mod or turbo, but its enough to say, for the sound and slight increase in FE, its worth the money. My focus was on doing mods that would not hurt the car or decrease my MPGs and so far when I average about 23 MPGs mixed driving top speed 75 mph. Hard acceleration gets you about 18-19. Hope this helps

Today i bought stillen cold air intake but i got other Exhaust called DNX with with UMF tips 4 and just waitin for next mornin to start workin on them :) . but now i need to find out how to make the car Lunch hard i know its CvT thing but it could be something to be done to make the car jump like some other cars

I did a custom borla. If you can, get a racingline y-pipe for a extra power boost, Not much but like 13 horses but I only noticed a 10hp bump. That was before I did exhaust work.

Nice! I have 312 with 283 to my wheels in my altima. I hope your sway bar doesnt snap...its been happening alot. Racingline makes a better bar.

I bought the original flowmasters 40 series mufflers. I had the old mufflers cut off and removed the resonator, replaced the resonator with a straight pipe, added the 40 series in place of the stocks and welded 3in tips on the muffler, thats it. It wasnt hard and did not take long. And it wasnt expensive. Any muffler shop thats half way decent should be able to do this for you if you tell them to do that. Good luck

how do u have a true dual exhaust when out cars come with a single exhaust manifold? do u have it y piped to the flowmaster mufflers?
