  • i am currently getting my 67 conv ghia ready for the road rust free a 10 year old restoration.so it looks good.i also have a 68 conv beetle with original vw a/c.i just need to register it and away we go.

  • Id love to find an abandoned Baja project and complete it for the fam. to enjoy

  • I don't think that the bus at 00:40 was a result of the owner not caring for it....

  • 2:46 rape train of vw's

  • Save the V-Dub but kill that gay ass song, kill it,kill it now

  • i know of a field full of old bugs

  • @0654danny get them all! save them!love them!

  • fucking right save the VWS..but the beetle? they're only the most mass produced car on the planet..lol

  • @Bellefeuille66 That was the case 20 years ago but theres been 14million more toyota corollas built than VW beetles, even VW golf has sold more than beetles

  • @BoostedVW but the type 1 beetle still holds the world production record for any car by a metric shitton

  • @pedekiller Last time I checked 26million VW Golfs and 37million Toyota Corollas was alot more than 21million Beetles.

  • @BoostedVW the corollas cannot count surely as their design was changed continuously in body design and shape, same with the golfs, but i guess technically you are correct.

and yeah even the type 1's went throgu ha few changes, swing axle to IRS, Link pin to ball joint and finally McPherson strut, dashboard mods. but not THAT many.

  • @pedekiller let me re-ammend that number, if you INCLUDE the brazillian and mexican beetles it more totals 114,000,000 units produced ;-)

  • @pedekiller It is a grey area, Golf is on it's 7th generation but then even type1 beetles are not the original design either.

114million units....ugh dude, you might wanna do abit more reading of reliable sources.

21million is world wide production and INCLUDES all Mexican Vochos and Brazilian Fuscas.

The last one made in Mexico in 2003 was the somewhere in the mid 21millionth range

  • @BoostedVW ahh, i thought the 21 figure accounted for all the GERMAN made ones.

    oh well, it's still a shitload ;-)

  • the one at 1.17 has a engine fire were the fuel fillter leaks + hot engine = fire sad flaw i've done my part to save the bug i own a 1976 bug my first car :D she is having a full rebuild soon

  • there's a rusty vw beetle in my town. maybe ill go get it...

  • VIVA LA VW! i have a 73 mint bug, absalutley georgious!

  • 3:17 hell yeah! i love vw's. my dad and i have/have had tons of them. we buy them fix them and sell them. i learned stick on VW's, camped out in VW's, and have worked on VW's. truly an underappreciated classic. Viva VW!

  • If anyone wants a chop or a Baja or something crazy use a Super or anything above 71. I hate seeing people cut up ovals and splits to use in some custom or chop top. These cars are getting really rare so dont make less of them by trashing them.

  • vWo 4 Life

  • VW will be around forever

    they just don't die

  • i love it!!! i love it its awsome

  • i love the vid, it makes a tear run down my eye the more i see my 69 ghia auto shift rotting further and further. i got big plans for it this summer though

  • Badass vid, i have a 74 baja. Got to love twin carbs lol.

  • i want to take one of the older bugs and put a turbocharged 1300 'Busa motor in it... that thing would be wicked

  • The Hitler thing isn't really inspiring, but Air Cooled VW's are awesome. My Baja Bug is a load of fun, and I plan to keep it indefinitely.

  • vw 4 life!!

  • Awesome vid.5*s I just got one I am in the process of restoring it.Thanks.5*s

  • hell yea! save the v-dubs. i found a baja that was rotting. it threw a lower rod bearing. after sitting forever, everything still worked awesome! theyre such a simple and amazing design. it goes anywhere and still gets awesome mileage! ACVWs are here to stay! i agree with brian62793 wasnt really a bug. looked like a bronco2 chassis with a bug shell

  • yeah that one is'nt a vw chasis but it shows what can be done with a vw.

  • and if the chasis is too far gone why not use the body on another chasis to make something wonderfull and interesting

  • at 253 i dont think thats saving it i think thats ruining it thats not even a vw engine

  • the song is awesome... FTW

  • keep the vee dubs alive peace bro

  • The drivers side front seat on any beetle before "supers " had about the same space as the Mercury Space capsule. the Original 7 Astronauts flew .

  • Seriously!? That's a cool fact.

  • nice vid, im building myself a sandrail out of a volkswagen that it was about to be throuwn in the junkyard just because it didnt start..go to mexico city you will find tons of volkswagens that were used as taxis and they dont know what to do with so many bugs n kombis there.....by the way the name was Adolf Hitler..not Addof u dummy!

  • I wish I had the room. I'd be saving more. Sucks that they are impossible to find now.

  • Save the DUBS!

    Kewl Video.

  • Just watched it again.

  • Yeah for some reason I feel very strongly that these cars should be preserved. Someone was telling me about this Ghia that he found that had been all shot up by a BB gun. It made my blood boil.

  • Kewl Video!
