For accurate and useful demo videos to help you understand what each piece of gear sounds like before you buy it, watch other people's demo videos. This guy is just really drugged and doesn't know how to tune his guitar. I think for this vid, someone did it for him.

I just played this pedal in my local guitar shop and bought it on the spot. It sounds 100 times better in real life than on this demo... there's something wrong with the way they are capturing the sound, it's a beefy pedal, not all shrill like it sounds here... My recommendation is to go and try one for your self... it's got some serious chug to it!

LOL! Once again, Gearwire manages to make a perfectly good piece of gear sound like complete and total shite. I just LOVE it at 8:40 when he says "alright so we got a very nice lead tone". Nice? It sounds like a buzzsaw! I dunno, maybe it's the mic technique these guys use. Perhaps it's time to take some of that budget and create a nice recording environment. This guy is a noob! I have this pedal and it is amazing. You can get an amazing lead and rhythm sound out of it. Its just that this noob here on the video makes the pedals sound bad when they are freakin nice.

The tone from valve amps comes from hot power tubes - preamp tubes don't have much to do with that famous tube sound.
