It is horrible what some circus's do but not all. Zoo's are as bad, usually at circus's they get exersise as they perform, tigers and lions in zoo's pace up and down in bordem. This circus is just horrific, they think they have more power but if the elephant wanted he could just squish him >:]

Actually it really is all circuses because they are kept in small cages with no stimulation except when they are performing, which is only up to an hour a day.. that is not enough exercise or stimulation and that is why they become psychologicaly unstable and pace. They also develop arthritis from the lack of movement and when they do move in shows it is to do tricks like sitting down and getting up alot which is bad on their joints.

i applaud you for not going to the circus. and the reason they cant use positive reinforcement is becasause the tricks are very confusing and uncomfortable for the animals to do, so it is impossible to make an animla that big do something uncomfortable or painful without making him scared not to. The only way they can control the animals is by making them scared of you. that is why you see them beating the baby elephant, to get it scared of them so it will listen to them from then on.

you missed the point of the video, all circuses with animals are bad. they may not intentionaly try to hurt the animals but the constant travel and lack of excersise is abuse in itseld. and all circuses use bullhooks with elephants because there is no other way to control elephants. and it is impossible to train wild animals like tigers and elephants to do tricks like that by using kind methods because the tricks are confusing and go against the law of nature for these animals.
