  • we provide a balanced diet- feeding MRP monday/wednesday/friday but crickets over the weekend.

  • Will they survive on this stuff alone, without crickets?

  • @halodude92mm- I have never tried. Take a big spoonful, taste it and let us all know ;)

  • @muchrooms- we use tap water but fill a jug up and let it sit for at least a couple days before using.

@AnimaP0L- crickets are good but no matter what insect you feed, you cannot replicate the variety of food they get in nature. It is best to 'dust' their food with minerals (including calcium)

  • I heard you should feed them a live cricket? just because its good for the nutrients and they would eat them in the wild?

  • Do you use tap water or bottled water?

  • how does it taste/smell to a human? geckos look like they have pretty good taste in what they eat.

  • @phanjonathanm.... watch the video again. :) we put the powder in first, then add water.

  • I thought your supposed to put the powder first(pangeareptiles said to)Nice vid

  • We feed every other day. The amount is about the size of their heads (this is an approximate size of their stomachs)

  • How often do you feed your cresties and how much do you offer at each feeding?

  • right now we are not shipping to Canada but hope to in the near future.

  • do ship to Canada and how much would it be with the shipping

  • @tcon97 It really depends on how far away the bulb is. If it is on top of the tank and the distance to the geckos is not that far, the bulb will be FAR TOO HOT. Use a normal incandescent light bulb.

  • .........for crested geckos

  • Is it ok to use a 75 watt heat lamp to keep the cage temp up

  • do you put stirofome on the sides, bottom, and top and just a way of checking what makes you guys better than other breeders just so i can decide whether you guys are right for me

  • @tcon97 Do you mean for shipping? We ship many animals and have great success with shipping. If you would like to see some comments please visit our web page (Supreme Gecko) and go to testimonials.

Also, we absolutely guarantee our animals.

  • is there a bag that contains complete CGD

  • Hey I just got my crested geckos but the previous owner fed them yogurt. How can I get them to start eating cgd and crickets.?

  • @toneloc1990 Don't feed them the yogurt ;) They will eat the CGD and crickets in short order.

  • Where can buy the paper feeding dishes?

  • @royalluv2008 on my site at Supreme Gecko- go to Shop Online and Supplies. Let me know if you have a question about finding this.

  • not lazy- time efficient :)

  • wow so lazy he has an electric stirrer

  • That's correct. CGD/MRP feeding is a complete diet. Having said this, we do feed crickets occasionally too.

  • so with mrp u do not need to feed bugs to the crested gecko

  • Would you Ship to Northern Ireland ?

  • @HardcoreGamer773 Hi, could you please Email me. We do ship overseas and I can give you a price. supremegecko@wi.rr.com

  • I sure do. You can order through our store and select CANADA as the country.

  • @SupremeGecko if i feed this to my cresty i can still give them insects aswell so they can hunt and stuff for fun cant i?

  • do you ship in canada?

  • what is that machine you used to mix the water and powder, and where can i get one

  • @crestedgeckos217 That is simply a hand mixer. I just went to Ebay and looked it up. You will find them between $ 10-20. Really makes it so much easier!

  • @crestedgeckos217 @crestedgeckos217 This is a hand mixer you can find most anywhere for under $20. Saves me a lot of time each night!

  • I found the Day Gecko Food under productId=2752602

This is a Zoo Med product and is not Repashy's CGD (nor is it a complete diet!).

  • I saw Petsmart had something called Day Gecko Food is the crested gecko diet

  • hi i got a question ! what is the difference between the 2part diet and the 1part mrp ?

I dont know which to order. What is better ?

    thanks a lot !!

  • @Trechno90 I think I replied to this below but let me explain again-

The diet is made up of base and nectar. Base for all the nutrients and supplements and the nectar to add flavor so they eat more. This is all balanced to the gecko's needs.

MRP II part is the Base and the Nectar separated (you get get all kinds of nectar flavors- Banana, Strawberry, Mango, etc.). You mix the two before preparing for the gecko.

CGD (or the One Part) is Base and Nectar all in one package- The Nectar is Banana.

  • "and many other animals" such as cows, bears, Tigers, Monkeys, Hippos, Worms and many other animals XD

  • were do u get it

  • @AlbertoMuse We actually sell the CGD... we started using the product years ago and decided we believed in it so much that we sell it on our web page and at reptile shows (look up Supreme Gecko web site)

  • what type of water do you use, and how do you prepare it? (I mean like tap, distilled, etc.)

  • @SizzlinNinja I just use regular tap water. Never had an issue with it.

What does everyone else use to mix their CGD?

  • @SizzlinNinja i use bottled water, it is expensive but it is filtered so there is nothing in it

  • my geckos arent eating what should i do

  • @peterogoliver you need to provide a bit more info on this one

What type of gecko, what are you feeding, how do you have the enclosure setup, what temps,

This is like saying my car doesn't work, what's wrong with it :)

  • Also, I know parakeets well go depressed if they don't get human interaction? Do they need human interaction and if so how much?

  • I have some questions. How much would you feed them? You said it only lasted six months? Well if it isn't all gone in six months is it a waste? Would freezing it increase the life spand of the food? A little off topic but I read they are nocturnal. Do they make noise at night?

  • @SizzlinNinja Feed them the same amount of diet (mixed with water) as the size of their heads- that is about the size of their stomachs.

I usually size the food to the number of animals when customers purchase from me at shows. It's not so much that it turns 'bad' as much as the effectiveness of the vitamins in the mix starts to decrease at around 6 - 8 months. Yes, freezing it would help extend the life.

Yes, they do make sounds at night.

    Great Questions! Thanks.

  • @SupremeGecko Okay thank you, that helps alot!

  • That's cool iv ben breeding cresties for about 2 years now. Have you ever tried a vitamin suppliment and asorted baby food? That's a good method of saving money in theis hard times:)

It's awesome I have a clutch of eggs really close to hatching

  • @TPGzero Thanks for the comment. I have tried the baby food and supplements... just too much work to get everything just right. the Crested Gecko Diet is so much easier and less expensive.

  • nice video and cute gecko

  • @peterogoliver thanks!

  • @SupremeGecko thanks

  • @peterogoliver I think geckos enjoy inter-species interactions (not that they NEED it) and we as keepers certainly enjoy seeing them together.

They do not need human interaction but they do well with anywhere between 5 and 30 minutes a day of handling (less when they are young and more when they get a little older).

  • how long can it stay in there cage ?

n can you feed daily ?

  • @sexiilicous1

I let the diet stay in 2 days. So, if I feed on

a Monday, it stays through until Wednesday

when I take it out and put in another cup of CGD.

  • Hey, I just got a crested gecko today at an expo and I have CGD. When preparing it, do you pour two times as much water as there is CGD? Because I think thats what the container my CGD is in said. I did it and it turned out way too liquidy. Or do you just put in the same amount of water that you put in CGD? A little confused...

  • can a mix like this be refrigerated and served to geckos later?

  • Great question- yes you can. This is a great way to save time. Mix about a weeks worth of feedings, feed that night, and put the rest in the fridge for later feedings.

    Thanks!

  • masterjo - The Repashy SuperFood diet consists of MRP (2 part) and CGD (1 part).

  • i have repAshy gecko mrp not crested geckp mrp is it the same?????my reptile store say it the same but i dont belive him

  • I perfer crickets because it helps them biuld hunting skills.

  • You can certainly feed crickets but you will also have to balance the crested geckos' calcium, vitamin, and mineral requirements. The MRP diet is complete- offering all the nutrients and supplements they need. My approach is to feed the diet through the week then crickets on the weekend, just because I like to watch them hunt too :)

  • hay ya i just got my crested gecko from sewer fest last sunday and got the mrp diet and it works great!

  • So your gonna be at sewer fest in Racine, sweet!

  • Are you going to sewer fest?

  • We will be there. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

  • it smells like cough syrup

  • :) not sure which flavor you are using but I find that the cherry flavor smells like cherries, the strawberry flavor smells like strawberries, and the snozzberries smell like snozzberries.

  • hi. i got my first crested gecko about 4 days ago. i bought it meal worms and it did not eat them. So then i went and bought him small crickets, and it didn't eat them either. So i went and bought repashy superfood crested gecko diet and made some and the gecko only licked about 5 times then it was done. it seems like it would be hungry for not eating. but it only licked up a little bit. so im kinda lost on what i should do.

  • Hi,

Congratulations on your first crested gecko.

First, newly acquired geckos sometimes go through a period of adjusting and may not eat the first 2-3 days. Next, when feeding insects, one issue we've seen many times is to feed too small of an insect. Finally, one tip I have for the Diet is to add just a touch of honey in the mix the first week or two of feeding to get them use to the smell and taste. Hope this helps.

  • allright man. ill try the honey out. thanks for the advice.

  • Yes you can. I feed so much at one time it is not an issue for me. However, many customers mention they make enough to feed a week- feed that night and freeze the rest. Works great. Try those little ice cube trays.

  • can you freeze it?

  • Person558x,

I appreciate your comment- and your frankness.

What are you using, 1 part or 2?

One part is all in one and two part comes in two bags that are you combine- the base and the flavoring.

I get the the comment "My gecko will not eat MRP" sometimes at reptile shows but from folks that have only tried it once or twice. Sometimes it's difficult knowing that they are eating it but they are! If you have a concern, try a tiny bit of honey in the mix a couple time. See if that works.

  • Is there a significant difference between a 1 part and a 2 part food for your gecko's?

And, if so what is in the 2 part that isn't with the 1 part?

thanks in advance for your help.

  • im about to get a crested gecko, and was wondering, if i get the single part powder, do i have to keep it refridgerated?

  • hmm, do you feed this them everyday and nothing else? i dont have a cresty yet but am thinking of getting them one very soon, should i feed them this everyday for 6 days a week and the 7th day like 5 crickets?

  • Hi A1dzcannon,

We feed every other day just before lights go out. So, the first day we feed MRP then the second day we mist the enclosure and spray a couple extra times over the food dish to soften up the MRP as it will dry a bit.

  • Awesome thanks.

  • You must be in a dry climate? I'm down here in Florida and my CGD seperates leaving a blue colored liquid. Thanks for the video very informative. I do have one question do you feed the same frequency on young or do you daily feed?

  • great video I just want to make sure I have this right you just feed the 2 part mix and that's all the food you give your cresties right?

  • Hi,

The MRP is a complete diet. That means you do not need to feed other foods to your cresteds. That comes out to less than $3 a month and you don't need to hit the pet stores every week for crickets and meal worms.

We are however feeding insects to our leopard geckos and will add 3-4 crickets to their enclosure about once a week just to watch them pounce on the insects :)

  • Thanks for the reply do you recommend any other feeding's at all for the crested or can they live there full life span safely and in good health with this diet? Also can you recommend a good book on Crested gecko's?

    Thank You

  • so r u guys r going to be at the anaheim reptile show this sep. in california

  • No, we will be staying local to the midwest this year but should expand in the years following.

  • cool

  • It certainly depends on the size of the 2 or 3 geckos and the size of the MRP package (4 oz all the way up to 4 lbs). Here is a good way to calculate this- a 4 oz package of 2 part (base and nectar) will last about 6 months for a crested gecko. At $16 that is the least expensive food you can feed AND is a complete diet!

  • so i guess 12oz for 3 adults would last six months an average?

  • The packages are sold in 4-8-16-32-64 oz sizes. You may want to try a 16 oz Base and Nectar size for 3 adults.

  • yea sounds best , thanks for reply

  • how long should this two part diet you have there last for 2 or 3 crested geckos?.

  • great vid five stars!!

  • thanks. It was fun to put this together.

  • feeding variets is key, baby food is like giving a kid sweets every day, just like humans we love sweets but it dont do us much good lol, thats why gresteds love it, its like a treat, use creted gecko diet mixed with the baby food to ween them off it, crickets are good excersise for hunting,

its really all comon sense and logic

  • Hey Wally, I have stopped by your table a couple times, and you have really neat animals. I do not have anything from you yet but will very soon. I need to get my hands on one of your tangs lol.

  • how do you breed crestys? Ive tried and Tried but they won't breed

  • very helpful and useful vid. thanx

  • Thank you for the kind works.

  • can i get this same formula in the uk?

  • cool vid

  • Thank you!

  • A very useful vid!

  • Glad I could help.

  • very interesting video!

  • Great! thanks.
