I managed to get through the first two levels and half of the third without dying once. I think the fourth boss of the game is the hardest due to that insane bullet hell it spouts after taking enough damage. But once one finds the way to deal with that beast I'd say beating it without taking a hit is entirely possible.

Only Japan can make an awesome game with a silly title but after a while, you too would want to proudly wear that Hot Dog badge. I mean it's a Hot Dog IN SPACE!!!
Great looking shooter. I still don't get the title (I'm hoping it's because the ship kinda looks like a hot dog), but even that doesn't mar the solid shooter rock that is Hot Dog Storm.
I suppose, but then you can't get the full intro. :/ I just wish there was a console port. A Sega Saturn version woulda been splendid! (Especially since you can listen to the soundtracks of the games you pop in right from the BIOS screen)
Hah! Yeah. I remember reading a review someone made on Slap Fight one day and they were like "Well, atleast it's not as bad as Hotdog Storm"... XD I didn't think it was an actual game. I was shocked to find out it was. Haha!
But seriously... it's a great name for a game that's about space ships blowing the crap outta stuff. :D I wanna make a game called Super Princess Grand Prix and make it some first person shooter or something like Doom. :P

Indeed. It's a pretty great game, and it gets better and better the more you play it.

I ALMOST bought the arcade board, but ran out of money at the last minute. :( When I came back later it was gone. I'm still kicking myself.

Haha yeah I went looking for the soundtrack too with no luck. Service mode doesn't even have a sound test or anything. :/
Wonder if there's a way to extract the soundtrack from the ROM file...

i guess you can just hold a recorder up to the speakers at every level and not shoot to avoid any extra noise...good luck with that ;)
