@uidemo ok it's like this, what he's basically trying to say is when u watch yourself internally you start to notice a specific type of feeling constantly arise i call them "party poopers" u can call them desire. the human mind is naturally content, that is until u give it something to crave. after just a moment of watching your thoughts n intentions you'll start to notice there are certain feelings that constantly interrupt ur peace/happiness (n usually for sumthing stupid like an iphone)
Do you know of any that you think have achieved enlightenment? I practice vipassana meditation which is what you do (or something close to what you do). I have been stuck for the past couple of years and I would like to get some more insight into insight meditation. Btw I use the lotus position while I meditate which (as you mentioned) extremely painful when doing it for an hour and the pain is amplified when you do it in successive sessions. Thank you for showing an alternate position.
so when you say analyze this one fact, for example desire, and put all your energy towards watching and analyzing it in the current mind, do you mean do this during meditation, or in everyday life?
i have a question, do i have to practice several asanas and pranayama techniques before doing this or can i start this without those, or can i practise this while i am practicing the other ones
What a lovely young man who has chosen to so generously share with all of us.
I sense his equanimity, his calm, his inner light, his charismatic glow. He is a very lovely teacher, because I feel his loving-kindness. With many words, he gently guides us to understand with great clarity that which we need to do to come to peace with the present moment............letting go for the desire to be someplace other than in the present moment. I send this teacher a big hug. GREAT!
all i heard was bla bla bla bla bla bla bla..........bla bla
