I had the misfortune of knowing David Johnston at University of Waterloo. When David Johnston was appointed there, I thought he'd be good, but I was extremely wrong. I believe David Johnston was the worst university president imaginable. David Johnston will be a horrible governor general & is the last person who should have been appointed to this position. All Canadians should be extremely ashamed to have David Johnston as governor general.

wow another waste of tax payers money.The governor general is supposed to the main say over the country, like when we go to war the prime minister has to pass it through the gov general,who is appointed by... you guessed it! the prime minister himself! not only does our governor general not have any real purpose anymore but he or she is paid a very handsome salary along with all of their travel expenses to anywhere in the world they want to go. Where was the Gov gen when we were forced into war?
