  • ...and now... only a memory

  • - don't try to bombard me with replies saying I don't know anything about the F-35... Because I do, I'm an aerospace engineer.

I have CAD drawings of the F-35, and my buddy is the F-22 and F-35's software designer.

    Happy flying! :D

  • Well as you should know, the Brits invented a successful VTOL aircraft called the Harrier.

BUT it was harder to fly and maintain. The JSF is basically a single turbine "Mini F-22" in aspect. The front vertical fan is powered by a drive shaft from the turbine. The JSF is cheaper than the F-22, and can be deployed anywhere in the world. It is one of the greatest aircraft created in the 21st century in aspects of technological leaps. It is more stable than a Harrier, yet a small F-22. And don't t

  • Isn't 1.6 Mach dang too slow for such an advanced jet? Its not like its got a lot of fuel capacity as well.

  • Way too freaking expensive!

  • A 40 knot flying jet seems like RPG fodder. (yes, I understand the 'baby steps' concept to hover)

  • false.

  • @RifledBarrel I don't hear the british complaining, they're getting this aircraft too. So your comment makes no sense.

  • @RifledBarrel Actually the Russians did.. its called a helicopter. Get over yourself, you know nothing about aeronautics.

  • I'm glad you love America so much. This is being flown by an Englishman. The US forces aren't clever enough to use the vertical landing and take off which is why they use big catapults instead.

  • false.

  • Yes, the US forces aren't clever enough to burn half their fuel using vertical takeoff/landing. They have to make due with a catapult system that allows them to burn that fuel in combat. Man, how dumb is that?

  • i'd rather have the F22

  • is that the new camaro?

  • Well said PennQuinn. Maybe throw in healthcare. One of these things could cure alot of people.

  • If you look real close you can actually see your tax dollars exiting the "aft driven thrust nozzle". Seriously how many drones could you buy for the price of one of these things? Who's on the receiving end of all this firepower? Taliban? No. Soviet Tanks sweeping across western Europe? nope. Chinese Air force? Anyone? Submarines and $75 million aircraft, stupid cold war relics. Spend our money in smarter ways, like pay raises for the troops.

  • hello it apear to be onstable on the lateral axes, or roll,i like to see it dealing a good cros wind gust

  • I am sure Obama will cut it as well

  • @cardioflow your an idiot. he cut the f-22 because there was no need to produce more of a jet that has no challengers. secondly if you bothered to do some research you would know that while cutting the f22 he order more f35s into production, i.e. why you even see these test now. stop making an ass out of yourself.

  • @StormyWeather21 People are always tough while hidden behind a computer screen. Keep in mind you don't know me personally. Let just hope we keep it that way.

  • wow

  • AWESOME!!

  • STOVL

  • nice

  • Bad Ass!

  • awesome. i love america

  • @chestateegold Nobody else does

  • @jsDX11

    a rather unnecessary comment

  • sweet!!
