WARNING TO EVERYONE, DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP, OR ANY DELL LAPTOP AT THIS TIME IF YOU VALUE YOUR SOUND! All dell laptops are known to to have DPC latency issues, If you don't know what that is it is a processing issue which causes the audio to constantly lock up and makes your sound practically un-usealble. If you want proof simply google search dell DPC latency problems, the threads on these problems are literally 100's of pages long. It IS a major issue and I would suggest looking elsware.

@aLgUeRoViCh The problem Is will ALL dell computers and is a problem with the internal sound drivers, I would seriously recomend looking elseware. There is no current fix for it and it is verry annoying, Some have bought dell computers for composing music and they say the problem makes it impossible to do, Hope this helps. Also maybe look at some lenovo or hp computers as this problem is less common if not non existant.

I have that exact modell as a school computer. We borrow them from school. It's very thin and light. It works good for business use. It can handle 1080p video as well. It's kind of slow to boot, but it works fine when it's done booting.

i have that exact laptop just a different color, it may be skinny and very light weight, but it was in no time before pieces started coming off, and the frame also would start coming off!!

I have a Dell Vostro 1500. It is crap. DO not get it. Constant freezing, graphics errors, BSOD's, you name it, this Laptop has it. And the freezing is actual freezing. NOTHING works. Not even Ctrl alt del You have to force shut it down every time. I am lucky to use it for an hour without any graphical or freezing issues.

i dont trust dell after the issues i have seen with the inspiron 1525 and 1545 screen hinges snapping away from the casing. i also dont trust hp after the issues they have had with their dv2000, dv6000 and dv9000 GFX cards. consistently requiring reflowing of the whole motherboard to repair. for an easy to strip and repair laptop, look no further than toshiba, not the best looking, but by far, the most serviceable laptops i have come across

@scottguesty Blow up i mean... the first one motherboard failed, second one (was old but still counts) power jack solder let go t.t, 3rd the screen failed got it replaced and then found out the actual ati video adapter had i dont know how you would say this Unsoldered?, and the 4th i Own atm. It has a failed Dvd burner, its built horrible from the cheapest plastics ive ever seen(baD FLEXS) AND the keyboard crapped out and i bought toshiba extended warrenty... They dont care t.t

That Dell computer is not the best laptop for businesses. The Lenovo ThinkPad series would be a better choice. They might not be as light but they are a lot more durable with their carbon fiber/titanium case and features like being spill-proof.

Never failed me or anything. but then, i decided to get a dell laptop and i was impressed at first. but 2 years later i failed slow, windows vista blah, and i think my GPU is over heating because its idle 60degrees. i am now a mac user because i am into more specific stuff. but keep in mind i am a power user. for both windows and mac and i do use linux. so i not a stupid apple fanboy.
