  • Much ado about nothing. It was an interview like many other interviews. Nothing to see here.

  • First time I've seen this. What a pompous, belligerent, badgering, pretentious, judgmental Cretan Parkinson is. Although Ryan holds her own and explains her thoughts clearly, she's constantly put on the defensive by Parkinson who is totally full of himself. It's not the way to treat a guest, that's for sure.

  • what.....a....BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • DOES SHE TAKE DRUGS?

  • Whats that animal in the background? Oh it's an EPIC AWKWARD TURTLE.

  • epic Awkward moment 11:42 LOL

  • Meg Ryan is on crack cocaine in this interview

  • i have to do this for my english thing

  • I THINK THE WHOLE INTERVIEW WAS COMPLETELY OVERBLOWN AND EXAGGERATED BY THE MEDIA AND LATER BY PARKY AND MEG,like it was'nt all that bad as people made it out to be.

  • 03:18 He's so defensive and rude, trying to shut her down. He also seems to think he's invalidating her opinion by stating his own- which he clearly thinks is of more value. At 03:26 he practically calls her cynical and disenchanted. And he's supposed to be a professional interviewer. Unbelievable. I think he has a problem with strong women. As was also obvious in his first interview with Helen Mirren.

  • @imfantasyparade

it's actually a good interview as he is trying to get her to speak more about herself. only in this day and age because of misinterpretations and misunderstandings would it seem like he is actually offending her. it's almost as if you expect the world to change it's way for you through the TV

  • The comment regarding Ryan's "high shoes" was venomous and catty ...exactly the cliché of of how bitchy women can be ... while perfectly supporting the rudeness of the whole miscarried interview. Shameful this was, really.

  • I am shocked how little objective Peter Bradshaw's judgement of this interview was ...in a comment he made in "Free the Brown Bunny"

  • Meg Ryan didn’t give in and was standing her ground. Presenting her point of view was ultimately the reason she was invited for, I would have thought, not to reassure some vain host, who obviously wasn't in balance that day. I would have been paralyzed in her stead being confronted with such unprofessional behaviour on the host's part. She reacted self-confidently and with relative aplomb.

  • I agree! Omg. Watching this is giving me pain. Parkinson does an appalling performance as a host (cutting in rudely often, insisting on his view immaturely like a teenager, attacking her instead of interviewing her..) A total of 14:03 minutes of VICARIOUS EMBARRASSMENT.

  • It seems to me like he was giving her a hard time and she just wasn't going to put up with it.

  • I think they're both as bad as eachother, really. Parky just keeps winding her up and Meg is either too responsive and can't accept other opinions, or not responsive at all.

  • Eh I don't see how this is so famous.. She isn't bad

  • i say well done to Parkinson

shes a pretentious bitch who thinks her shit doesn't stink

oh and that films sounds like it was complete bollocks too

  • i hate parkinson...he's a dick head and a bully.

idk why he's famous....i guess all the bullies like him.

  • What was up with the RANDOM RUDENESS anyways?Anybody know?

  • He just started to bait her at the end, mentioning her divorce.

  • He didn't start the interview very well at all.

  • Parky was been a prick in this interview. Though at the start when asked about the fashion she was being a bit of a bitch. So in conclusion. A couple of cunts acting cuntish

  • @FreshChalk ..if somebody else had been asked in the same way "do you feel fashion empowering?" bet, many people would have responded with "no". Anyway, she was paid back by a much cattier remark about her "high shoes" when everybody could see she couldn't walk very well in them. That was truly bitchy. I think Ryan was just self-confident and made her points independently. This interview really didn't go well.

  • This is funny. Its so typical for stars to be part of "we are happy family and friends, lets cuddle" type of talk show. They are not prepared to real discussion. Lets argue - with politeness, about the topic of movie. Lets try to oppose...

But now. You cant do that. Thats not mainstream type. That makes stars and ex-stars from old good hollywood days angry. And Parkinson is not some hardcore talkshow guy, he IS mainstream. He tried to make discussion, not exchange just empy phrases...

  • @UlrikDecado1 I don't think she had a problem with him having a different opinion. She just sticked with hers. He was the one increasingly losing control of the interview when she was not giving in...and he was the one getting rude in the end btw.

  • I am no Meg Ryan fan but I don't blame her for getting her back up in this. He basically attacked her for doing something different and trying to grow as an actress. He's a total dick here.

  • i think Parky took it too far but Meg was also highly sensitive form the start. Just a bad clash!

  • Parkinson show himself up as an idiot here. He seems to have an agenda and it appears that he is trying to make Meg ryan justify herself. Thank god you have retired parkie, you old bloody fossil.

  • Until I watched this I thought that Parky was clever...but he can't even comprehend what Meg is saying O_o

  • I don't really think either is to blame but it was certainly a clash of personalities and opinions which led to a pretty awkward interview. Perhaps both should've done a bit more homework on each other. Parky's show is all about small talk really, and Meg Ryan seems to find small talk difficult. Also, if I was nervous, I think the last people I'd want sat next to me would be Trinny and Susannah, who have basically made a career out of judging people by the way they look and dress

  • @Jodamu SO RIGHT! ..the one next to her giving her the remark "nice shoes" (everybody could see that she couldn't walk in them properly) which was totally living up to the cliché of how catty and scheming women can be. I would have felt bad for any guest being out there - exposed to such rudeness.

  • @MissSharpMouth HOW WAS HER COMMENT CATTY?

  • I think she was professional and far more polite than Parkinson. I've always had the impression he is never so interested in hearing any voice but his own. I feel she handled herself very well.

  • I don't think she's rude. She's awkward & nervous... which she then admitted later. There's nothing wrong with that, not everyone is suited to the spotlight & even though not much, shooting films behind a camera is different to being interrogated up on that stage. Kristen Stewart is the same but no one gives her this much of a hard time. Parkinson was rude, unprofessional & more interested in getting his own point across. It's obvious he decided he didn't like her even before this interview.

  • She looks like the Joker.

  • Parky didn't understand the movie, didn't understand her and finally out of spite, got rude with her towards the end. I think Meg Ryan's reactions were quite reasonable considering this.

Parky wasn't sharp enough to adapt to the unexpected answers and could not justify his misunderstandings in any meaningful way. How did he last so long on tv?

  • @markyboy28able99 on the other hand, maybe he had a point. The movie is a very cynical view on life. It's a shame he couldn't elaborate it much.

  • Only a few minutes in I was impressed by Meg's intellect and way of expressing herself. She's interesting! I think Parkinson was really ignorant and aggressive, Meg ended up having to defend her feelings and opinions all the time, what was that all about? I think he clearly disrespected her. That said, I didn't like how she said just "no" in the beginning about the fashion. I thought it was a bit rude to the other ladies.

  • @imfantasyparade ...well, the one next to her didn't exactly turn out to be a lady in the run of the interview.

  • @MissSharpMouth I just rewatched the interview again, the first time I only skimmed through it and missed the other lady being quite catty. Anyway, I really love how Meg carries herself in this interview. It made me a fan, actually, which I guess is ironic since so many thinks she's "rude" here- I think they just mistake an individual and strong mind for rudeness. Unfortunately that happens too often in the world, it's sad we're not more tolerant of each others opinions. I love what Meg said.

  • What a bitch.

  • @GJallStar007 yeah, but which one of the four?

  • @GJallStar007 yeah, but who of the four of them? lol

  • omg!! Meg Ryan didn't have a hope in hell with this numpty!!! She wasn't as bad as he made out AT ALL!!!

  • Parkinson is an asshole of the finest calibre.

  • meg ryan was and is great-parky was harsh

  • Parky was not a bully in this. If anything, they were both quite abrupt. What's clear is that a difference of opinion came up and both Parky and Meg felt the need to try and get their opinion across, not something that happens often in other chatshows. Neither should be crucified, as people often do, for this interview for having a debate, no matter how rude it appeared.

  • @TheMadKaz Yes. She was abrupt, then he was confrontational. She followed by getting combative and mysterious, which left him to make little remarks which did not help. Her stance/position indicates that she is defensive and not happy to be there. And I noticed that before he said it. Even when a different guest gave her a compliment she wasn't receptive. He shouldn't have made a commentary on her personality changes and not taken her poor communications skills as a personal insult. PMS sucks.

  • @TheMadKaz No. Parky's views don't matter - he is the interviewer, not the interviewee. It is all about meg Ryan, not him. Anyway, his views on female sexuality are about 30 years out of date.

  • The worst thing about this clip by far is Trinny and Suzannah. A pair of stupid ditzy bitches.

  • if u pinheads think parky..is at fault here...just go back to the start and watch the way meg walks in and introduces herself...she just was rude from the start...a stupid stuck up American bitch...

  • Maybe it's just because I'm not British, but I found this "Parky" to be very rude towards MR in the interview. He started it off with something negative, and then when the conversation was actually (sort of) about the movie, he refused to listen to anything she was saying. It's his job to get a good interview, and it's his fault that he didn't. IMO she reacted quite well, considering, but she still retained some measure of dignity.

  • @rachelysew I am not British, I am not American, and personally I don't care about Ryan. But this interview was shameful. You are absolutely right with your perception.

  • Jane Campion's philosophy IS a beautiful thing. Parkinson probably thinks every woman is some kind of Jane Austen heroine who fantasizes about being romanced and validated by a prince charming. Jane and Meg are saying that to be realistic about the nature of relationships will lead to a woman's wellbeing in the long run and that true love, if it comes, is not about any of these romantic frivolities.

  • she looks like the joker lol

  • I'm british and from a city very close to micheal parkinson and I have to say he was very unfairly tough on meg ryan....... ? I found him very much a bully to her. He's an interviewer not an actor and he's good at that situation and I think he used his interview skills too much in the incorrect way. Sometimes interviewer/journolists you shopuld just back off and go with the nice flow......

  • I think Pamela Stephenson of ShrinkRap would have had access to a more insightful interview.

  • After viewing this vid I have got to say that Meg Ryan was treated poorly, mismanaged and shown a complete lack of respect.Listen to her responses and take your leads from her answers and you might have got a less defensive and more responsive guest.Parky is usually so good at bringing out the best in his guest, this one was very poor.

  • I think Parkinson has made his mistakes in interviews, (the infamous Helen Mirren interview from '75 where he is clearly out of line focusing the conversation on her tits! lol!), however in his defense here I think Meg Ryan is the one being rude. She has such an attitude with him here and is very rude to him regarding his opinions on love and romance. Not to mention she basically dismisses the other guests in the fashion industry. She comes off as a spoiled, arrogant bitch here. Bad form Meg.

  • @jeaninegrrl I think HE took it as rudeness, yeah. That might have been the problem. While she was only celebrating her individual mind and opinion on a topic that had naturally grown on her.

  • i wanted 2 watch this video because i fout it wud be good 2 watch but guess wat it wasnt lol

  • I remember everyone saying that Meg Ryan was rude and abrasive in this interview - and she has definitely come off worse than Parkinson in the British Publics memory- And I was quite annoyed by everyones comments that Parky was rude - I always rememberd him being jovial and professional - BUT - now that I've watched this - I have to agree that Parkinson was quite abrupt and didn't listen to her. he seemed more interested in his own opinion than hers. I would have been annoyed too! Silly Parky!

  • @ScribbleBee Parky picked up on the obvious right away, and the obvious is as follows: The more famous an actor becomes (american in particular) the more full of bullshit they become. E.g. Johnny Depp, Will Smith, Tom Cruise (Scientology, case in point) and so on. As soon as Parky picked up on Meg's bullshit (i.e. trying to be cool and cynical) he tried to take control of the interview and get some honest answers instead of pretentious bullshit.

  • @ScribbleBee I totally agree with you I always though Meg Ryan was the one being abrasive but watching it now Parky did seem like it was him being abrupt with her. Strange how my perception changed after viewing it years later.

  • I couldn't have said it better jisha78. He's a douche ;)

  • Agree with quite a few comments here. I think both had an 'off day' and/or personality clash which didnt help, while she didnt help the situation by seeming not wanting to give any kind of decent response to any kind of deep question, while he was maybe a little blunt and crass. While I cant really comment on Meg Ryan's personality suggesting Parky is a crap interviewer I cannot agree with

  • I watched this after hearing for so long about how Meg was difficult in this interview. But I can totally see her point of view! Parkinson slates her film, disagrees with her opinions when she does give them, then moves on to odd questions and personal ones, making complete judgements about her. She gets defensive because he is attacking her, expecting her to cope and argue back, when she finds the repetition, aggression and audience intimidating.

  • yes i believe michael was a bastard to her because when she walked on and started talking she was answering like why are you asking me these questions, why are you even asking me anything. Promote my movie and shut up.

  • parkinson such a shit interviwer deserved this lol

  • She's pretentious and he takes conservative to a whole new level.

  • I watched this expecting to dislike Meg. She DID try. There was a subtle personality clash between them and Parky could have better finessed her into responses. She didn't go on there to be psychoanalysed.

  • what a stupid bitch

  • This was an interrogation by Parkinson, not and interview. He had a serious chip on his shoulder against American Actors. I'm glad he now advertises stair lifts which is the limit of his talents. I feel sorry for Meg.........

  • @lewis20017 lool ...couldn't have put it any better.

  • Meg Ryan is a dick , she set the tone when she walked on ..cold as ice, if she didnt want to do it then she should have stayed at home, he reacted of her vibe and i think he was extremely professional! such a shame because she always came across likeable in her early movies and so pretty but now her botox mess of a face reflects the ugliness within!!

  • They just don't get on at all. Normally Michael Parkinson was and is great, however he think either : 1 He had an off day (and don't we all) or 2 He dislikes her from his research or previous meeting before the show?

Anyway he fails to engage, no proper rapport, warmth etc not like his old self at all

And he even seems hostile toward her - Even when he says "sure" I get the feeling it's a token acknowledgement and he doesn't agree with her or like her at all.

  • Clearly a bad day for both Michael and Meg, he wasn´t at his best and she also wasn´t very chatty...

  • MR: "I don't like being in front of the spotlight, or an audience"

    she clearly indicates her discomfort.

    P: "then why do it?"

blunt slightly rude response from the old man.

MR: "i'm not entirely sure...maybe you could help me?"

meg ryan is honest and even opens it up for debate encouraging the conversation.

P: "no i couldnt its up to you to decide." old man is just being an old man.

  • Parkinson was rude, arrogant. When she came on she was friendly she said "hey gang", she was polite, she made a joke shortly after and laughed with the audience. Parkinson asked her if the scrutiny over her fashion sense bothered her and she said no, he seemed disappointed not to have her broken down. Totally HIS fault.

  • Poor Parky! This is a talk-show after all and audieces watch / attend because they want to know the real person.. He was only doing his job. M.R is clearly a touchy lady. He certainly wasn't rude to her-'tho perhaps not as sycophantic as some Brit hosts behave when dealing with Hollywood guests If you want to see a 'rude' interviewer can be, take a look at Jeremy Paxman.

  • what a load of balls! its clearly just an interview where two peoples opinions clashed and became awkward! but you can see in the way meg ryan sits and behaves that she is uncomfortable! and I believe that she was nervous and just wanted the interview to be over! but its not as big a deal as its been made out!

  • i always saw clips off this n thought she was just being rude but when parky says its to her to debate well that shouldn't be the case shes there to chat to him not debate anything

  • Top gear ha ha

  • Top gear got me here

  • Top Gear brought me here, and I'm glad it did. The received information about this interview is that Meg Ryan was difficult, obstructive, and at fault, whereas Parkinson, although the guru of interview was exhibiting an atmosphere of confrontation and restrained irritation. It's disappointing to see such a distinguished interviewer neglect all the rules of getting the best from his guest, and on balance I think Meg Ryan emerges with integrity and honesty.

  • I'm here via dave too :-)

  • Hahaha I just saw it on top gear on dave LMFAO!!!!

  • got here via top gear to... it didn't look to bad, i mean... not jerry springer like. lol

  • Uh wow. Parkinson was a dick and I think she was just very honest.

  • They're both unpleasant people who are contrary and obstinate from the get-go. They both make good points (romance vs. true love), but they are unwilling to see things from someone else's point of view, which pretty much makes them both assholes. Having said that, Parkinson is the host and Ryan is the guest and as unlikeable as she comes across, it was, in part, his job to make her feel comfortablet. Having said that, this was VERY entertaining to watch! So, congrats to their assholism!

  • We were told to watch this as an example of discussion drying up but I can't see what the fuss is about either. Seems pretty standard stuff.

  • Wow. This is the first time I've ever actually seen this interview from start to finish, I've seen it mentioned on clip shows which are all edited to show Meg Ryan in a bad light and I fully expected to see her and think she was being a complete bitch, but I have to say I think I'm on her side, Parkinson was incredibly rude. Can't believe I've just taken it as gospel that she was in the wrong for all these years.

  • Did anyone else see that huge chip on her shoulder and hear the bee in her bonnet or was it just me? This interview actually put me off her as an actor. She did herself no favours by acting like this, she was rude and argumentative from the start and the way she looked down her nose at Trinny and Susanna was outrageous! "Sorry, did I just ruin your whole segment" No, but you certainly tried....nasty!

  • She was shite.

  • Are they doing the interview in a Premier Inn? lol

  • What a bitch....

  • Parkinson is a sexist prick, just ask Helen Mirren.

The dinasour is threatened by strong women.

  • @stusouthredbourn i dont know how u got that from this interview cant c anything wrong with this interview on both sides i dont get y its so infamous

  • @stusouthredbourn that was exactly my impression! He couldn't take it that she was standing her ground before a man like him lol. Guess it wasn't common in the 'golden age'. I am glad though that it is common today.

  • Top Gear brought me here.

  • @gothamD ME TOO!!!, and what a bitch lol

  • I do not think that she was rude at all. I think some of his questions were a bit unexpected for a her and possibly rude but I had no problems with her responses. I do not see it as anything more than mildly uncomfortable.

  • parky got his nose turned up because hes a romantic.

  • She did nothing wrong. She gave full answers and he was rude.

  • @llewohnewo No he didn't. He was very polite actually. She's the one who was rude and despicable. I hate her. Parkinson is awesome.

  • @1wayticket2me He's totally rude. He seems to have a mission of bringing her into tears or breaking her down. Is'nt she his guest? In a talkshow, normally the host tries to make the guest feel good an maybe give a little acknowledgement. But he just keeps attacking her. Man, he's a bad host and a bad interviewer! Praise to Meg Ryan for acting so cool during all thes agressive "questions".

  • @zugaar Isn't not is'nt - are you an idiot?

  • @zugaar This is England, over here we try not to kiss the guests arse. At the same time we are not disrespectful, Meg was obviously uncomfortable with having to partake in a serious conversation.

  • @scouselad1991 I'm from Denmark. I don't care what you think you do "over there". No talkshow should ever attempt to psychoanalyse the guests. And it was not a "serious conversation", it was agressive and uninterresting.

  • @zugaar You obviously do care how we do things over here since you are getting so butt hurt over the interview.

  • why is everyone trying to 'diss' parky? she's come on and been nothing but awkward, Why agree to do a show such as parky if you're not going to be willing to answer questions, he's treated her in the same fashion as every other guest, Parkinson's a legend, always will be, he wasn't rude to her in the slightest, he's a gentleman!

  • @2000masterplan no one really cares about "parky" in the US, we love our Meg Ryan!

  • @SummerInTahoe i haven't seen meg in a movie in forever though or a successful movie

  • @fleurgi check her imdb and you will see she did a few movies after that, not a lot and not highly praised but still a few.

  • @SummerInTahoe no one in the world cares about Meg or the US...fuck them both

  • God forbid that Parky ever had to interview a strong, intelligent, opinionated and very switched on woman. I think Meg Ryan was talking so much sense here, and he couldn't handle her intellect.

  • You can analyse this interview to death but I can't help thinking that Parky just couldn't be arsed with another plastic-faced, coke-snorting prima donna.

  • Parkinson doesn't seem to understand acting pretty much, asking questions like how long two actors need to know each other to act intimate scenes. You don't. Professionals turn and act, period. He's also rather presumptuous (about her previous divorce having an effect on her outlook in relationships. He should just let her tell it). And no interviewer would throw up quips without framing it properly. Many times, Meg Ryan has to do a double take, to recall. Parkinson has still a lot to learn.

  • @MrMacisd it has nothing to do with her being a woman they just have two opinions which are on totaly different sides. there is nothing wrong with difending the idea of romance ect. sometimes to get the most out of someone you need to have an actual conversation instead of just saying ok, next question, ok next question.

  • It took two to make this interview fail!

  • I don't see why everyone is attacking parkinson Meg Ryan was being difficult it was a clash of two very strongly opinionated people. She has a strong thought of things and so does she, so stop giving him shit. Obviously he isnt going to say yes about everything she says because it is an interview and he wants to get as much out of it as possible which is what a good interviewer should do. So stop saying shit about him..idiots.

  • @gayrichy1993 he deserves all the shit he gets because he couldnt handle a woman not agreeing with his views. the idea of the interview is to find out about your guest not give your own take on everything.

  • @MrMacsid Parkinson was a rude jerk, and he frequently is rude to women. his macho-ism is very obvious

  • I think he doesn't like people who are more famous than him especially intelligent people. He started with the line please don't sit in my chair and it just got worse. He gets jealous.

  • Parkinson was so rude and aggressive, totally lost all respect for the man. Especially what he said at the end, how dare he.

  • parkinson was just doing her job! an she was no comprising at all, I bet she is VERY difficult to work with.. she came on that show not wanting to be interviewed! she was probably forced on the show, and probably didn't get her double cafe latte out the in the green room and was pissed, she was being smug, rude and totally being difficult, she was probably doing it on purpose just to be a bitch.

parky wasn't being rude, he was just trying to get some conversation flowing,

    Meg is a bitch!

  • Why do people watch this Parkinson? Ever time I've seen him --he's a cold jerk. especially around women. For example: When he says "" Why be an actor if you don't like the spotlight..?" Letterman would have been funny about it. Larry King would put a different spin on it.... they know how to ask an awkward question. Parkinson just sits there. He's a crappy interviewer. He enjoys making women uncomfortable.

  • @g9yx1s Seems to me that Larry King and Letterman are completely different characters to Parkinson, thats blatantly obvious, but there shows are also completely different. Parkinson is there to purely interview people, not to give them a full 15minutes to promote themselves and there "product". This interview, thought very uncomfortable, was difficult because Meg Ryan was very defensive, and Parkinson was very forceful with his line of questioning. Neither party was in the wrong, just a clash.

  • Comment removed

  • @Gaibriul Parkinson is rude to women. He tries to be David Frost, who knew how to do a 'tough' interview. But he's not David Frost and he just comes off as a macho jerk.

Clearly Parkinson doesn't care if his guest is seen in a positive light. Carson and Letterman know how to do this. Parkinson doesn't

  • Maybe he was not quite sober. His snorting was a bit unpleasant ...

  • Parkinson is a nasty, dried-up bag of bones.

  • lol Im american and I've watched this several times and am still trying to figure out what meg did wrong. He is defensive and insecure from the moment the interview starts meg handles herself well. awkward interview with hostile chemistry abound.

  • what a bitch.

  • Such a shame. He didn't handle himself very well. So what if she's 'wary', etc. She's there to talk about a film, not defend her attitude about the difference between romance and love.

  • She had a bad attitude but what an Arse Parkinson was here.

  • Oh lord, cringe worthy

  • Meg Ryan sounds like a complete moron. Typical brainless American female ape. usually great in bed, but boy u can't wait to get rid of them the next morning. I feel sorry for old Parky.. he usually brings out the fun side of any interviewee. But rancid Meg has none.

  • I do not seem rude, it was unjustly attacked

Meg is great ! and he's a 'human being like all

  • I'm sorry, but I'm on Parky's side for this one... She is withholding, egotistical and somewhat arrogant. He was doing the best he could do to try and make best of the situation, but she kept diverting and essentially insulting him.

I must say, i've always been a fairly keen supporter of Meg and her movies, but i think it's safe to say that i have lost quite a big chunk of respect for her... Sorry Meg, but Parky is royalty - you mess with the bull, you'll get the horns!

  • wow, i have always had a lot of respect for Parky - and anticipated that I'd be on his side in this one....but he was fairly oppositional, a bit rude...and it didn't seem like this was just for the purposes of a probing interview.

  • As soon as she appears at the top of those stairs her body language is just screaming "I don't wanna be here" in my opinion she knew she was gonna be awkward with whoever it was in this interview!

  • This guy thinking he was her shrink...

  • Michael Parkinson interviewed The Joker?

  • He was Quite Clearly attacking her (in Very subtle ways) and putting her emotions and her life on the chopping block- making her appear to be this spectacle that they can all judge and laugh at- When Really- It is His Brashness and sandpaper ignorance and insensitivity towards the subject and person in his presence that makes things Awkward.

Her answers were highly inteligent and well thought.

  • @pecky143 well said.. the woman had just gone through a divorce. . give her a break! She's very well manner and funny on ELLEN! Now who doesn't love ELLEN!!

  • Parky is an idiot. He asked her about a film character and then stupidly takes her answer as if she is talking about herself personally.

  • @atwtgldool and @ wakingwallaby

She was totally defensive and unwilling, she did not want to be there and would not answer a question properly,

Parkison on the otherhand was doing his job in trying to get answers about the new film and her opinions that us why he is such a legend

  • She's talking about the difference between eros and agape and he can't even grasp the concept. He's asking why a person would seek to be a movie star if they don't like the spotlight and she can't deal with the question. He's overly aggressive and she's pretentious. Basically, two dim-witted douche bags having a conversation.

  • @atwtgldool

soo...because Parkinson is pushing her to do something she agreed to do and she's unresponsive, making him push further, he's a dim-witted douche bag?

    You're an idiot.

  • @RDprodx Uh, I didn't say he's a dim-witted douche bag because he was pushing her to answer a question. I said he's dim-witted because she was talking about the difference between agape and eros and he couldn't grasp the concept. Not sure where you got I was saying he was a dim-witted douche bag for pushing her to respond. I said nothing like that. Your reading comprehension skills are very weak. So, who is the idiot?

  • @atwtgldool

No no no.When I said "Parkinson is pushing her" I was implying that was the only thing he was doing, in my eyes, that could be construed as douche-like.

I didn't re-confirm anything you'd said, I have to say your reading skills are minimal to not notice I was just analyzing your interpretation of the situation and asking you why.

In simple terms for you - The only thing I can see him doing that is douche-like is that he's pushing her and you misunderstood.

    Idiot x2. BYE

  • @RDprodx You're too dumb to even engage in a conversation. Good luck with that. Bye.

  • @atwtgldool

Could say the same of you. This is what you would call a misunderstanding but you prefer to dismiss it as stupidity to feel superior. Good luck with your emotional issues..

  • who is he to judge her? He is making baseless assumptions based on one interview. Total fuckhead. Totally rude. IMHO she's being as tactful as I could expect anyone to be under such scrutiny. My God.

  • I think Parky presumed a lot in this interview, and seemed a little hostile, but that's probably because Meg seems very defensive from the start.

Meg must've felt really attacked, although Parky's attitude wasn't as abrasive as SHE presumed.

So lots of miscommunitcation and presumptions, methinks ..

  • i would say that, yes, it was a difficult interview, but I would not agree that it was out of control or that she was bitchy. He was harsh, but she manages to fend him off pretty well. It really comes down to a differing of opinions/philosophies with regard to the movie, not personal.

  • i thought Parkinson is the one who was a complete arse - she wasn't expecting his arrogance
