what a beautiful tribute. And what exceptional work do you do there at the sanctuary.. thank you for letting us peek into the lives of such magnificent creatures
@veggiewarriors Jenny is full grown there--she was 27 when she retired to the Sanctuary. Although she would often act like her baby when she was with Shirley!
Jenny used to run away from the circus but she never ran from the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary understood her, offered her a life she craved instinctively. Miss you Jennikins.
Great video, I'm so glad Jenny and Shirley were reunited! I appreciate the amazing work of the sanctuary for these gentle giants! The videos are such a great way to educate the world about the sanctuary and the need to treat animals with respect and honor. We all need to boycott zoos and circuses and write letters to our congress people and senators to stop the abuse and exploitation! Make phone calls and donate to the sanctuary as often as possible. God bless you all!
What a wonderful video of Jenny. I cry when I watch it. I'm glad Jenny got her freedom at TES and found her Shirley so she could be spoiled like a daughter should. So sad that her life ended so early. We need to speak up for elephants and end the zoo and circus life--they deserve freedom!
i'm trying to find the video i saw on TV about 2 elephants reuninted after many years apart, they preformed in the cicus together and immediatly remembered each other. please send me the link if u have it. thanks
Thanks for sharing this update on these awesome friends of ours. Their story is hard to watch, but necessary if, we are to change our treatment of them. I'm so, so happy Shirley bonded with Bunny:) I'll never forget the reunion of Shirley and Jenny.
It makes me SO MAD that some people still think it's okay to take wild animals (elephants, lions, tigers, et al) and stick them in zoos, or force them to work in the circus. When people STOP going anywhere they use animals as entertainment (circus, zoo, etc), then the suffering of these beautiful creatures will stop, and there'll be no need for places like the Elephant Sanctuary, where the elephants go after they have been mentally and physically tortured and tormented for years upon years.
Hard to say for somebody, who can't express his feelings in foreign language, but it' s wonderful, very touchant, full of hope, but also sad when you think how, some people can be cruel for children of nature
Oh my! What a strong and informative view at a true animal hero. I cannot explain how i admire you guys, doing this work is a Miracle in the animal world. I want to encourage others to realize a few of us truly can make a difference!
Whomever matched the music for Jenny's video here did a fantastic job - what a beautiful film, just makes it so much more special since Jenny is no longer around. But at least she got to enjoy life again while at the Sanctuary.
Could we have a video about Barbara, Tina and Lota sometime? It would be lovely for other people who are not familiar with TES to see those girls who have already gone before Jenny!
Tears here, too, both great joy and sorrow. I just can't express the new dimension of pleasure there is in hearing these wonderful eles as well as seeing them!
Beautiful video! "Jenny never wasted a day sulking about her abusive past." - that's the great thing about animals, the good majority of them are so willing to move on and forget the past.
This is moving sad Jenny passed away but still you all gave her a chance and many elphants as her thank God for you guys. What wonderful people you all are to keep this going for them.
Watched this and cried. Then I watched Shirley the Elephant patr one and two, now down a box of tissue. Thank god for The Elephant Sanctuary and those with the vision to make it happen.
