That actually isn't a very good idea.  Believe me, I've hacked before (on my Gamecube using Action Replay). Things that can occur because of hacking: Freezing/crashing of the game if certain combinations of codes are overused (like infinite Bullet Bill in Mario Kart) or used at the wrong time, corrupted game data, and the game discs being unreadable.

I actually don't remember. I think it was around 750. I know I found a good equilibrium between speed and not flying off the courses. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
