  • @johnnybegud1 Thank you my friend :-)

  • very nice playing and tone, i was just wondering what pick ups your using?

  • @elevenAD Hey my friend! Just using American Gibson Classic 57"s. This guitar came with Epiphone classic 57's but were replaced with American 57"s.

    Cheers!

    Danny

  • @dlrdanny i suspected 57"s but i was not sure

and i gotta say the sounds your getting from that 335 are making me rethink my opinion on hollowbodies:) i may have to pick one up!

  • @elevenAD 335's are wonderful and have there place although very versatile. My main guitar when I was young and played was a 1975 Gibson 335 which I bought new. It was stolen from a few years back and made me sick ;-(

    Cheers! Danny

  • Hey Danny When i get some material together i would love to send it to you and see if you can add a few guitar lines to it. If your interested of course.

  • @mutation999 Sounds great my friend and would be honored. Just hope I could do your stuff justice.

    Cheers bud!

    Danny

  • Very nice tone! It reminds me to pink floyd, nice job!

  • @agcdeftinwolf Thanks man:-) This little guitar is pretty sweet.

  • Bless you, Danny.... just the medicine my soul needed. And Bless the Missus for inspiring you so. I think that Epiphone is very grateful to be your guitar. Please... don't stop playing it... you two work wonders together. Love and healing... it's in the touch.... and in the heart...

  • @ThLuckyOne

Thank you my friend for the kind words :-) I really do appreceiate it and thank you for watching.

  • @mussie302

Thanks so much my friend :-) Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment....

    Cheers!

    Danny

  • 0:44

    yea, i empathise. : )

  • I also use a TONELAB ST!

    Whats your opinion about it?

Because the Tonelab ST is my only multieffect yet. :-)

    Regards!

PS: where can i get this backingtrack?

  • @hopfenkaltschale Hi My friend, I've had good luck with the Tonelab but think it sounds truer using external effects. I use a 17 year old Alesis Quadraverb which I like. Some people don't like the Tonelab but I do. I can send you the Ambient track if you like via email :-) Cheers! Danny

  • @dlrdanny Hey Danny, thank you for elucidation. :-) The quadraverb looks valuable!! If i had the money for those gizmos & gadgets, i had no place for my bed anymore. :o) I had no real comparisons to my ST, but i'm satisfied too. Digital technique ain't necessarily a bad thing.. Such a small thing, so many different tunes... cheers Ah, by the way, thanks, but what size is this backing track? my e-mailbox admits only 4 MB °-° cheers!
  • @hopfenkaltschale

I think 7 meg, I can check. A used Alesis Quadraverb is around $50 now. Still very good to me :-)

    Thanks, Danny

  • @dlrdanny

    What? 50 €, or $ =) ...

In german ebay minimum buy now price just about150-200 bucks.

Anyhow... i had to do more practice to deserve a new toy. :-)

the same approach i got my ST!

But a real nic suggestion at all!

ah, you could split the backing track in two parts, no problem to re-joint it for me.

provided it's no overwork fr you. Ain't this track available on world wide web?

    thank you!

  • @hopfenkaltschale Hi! $50 US dollars. I will see what I can do about the jam track for you. Just private message me with your email and give me a couple days :-)

    Danny

  • you make always beautiful lick and tone.! keep on!!

  • @9612135

Thank you :-) I was pleased with the sound on this one, thanks for watching!

    Cheers!

    Danny

  • You got any of your sounds on CD to buy Danny? Thanks. Bill

  • @BillEvans1956 Hey Bill! What a nice compliment in that question. No, I don't have any. If you really want to make a CD of any You-tube stuff this program is a good audio down loader ( dvdvideosoft ). Then just burn them to CD.

    Thanks man :-) Danny

  • @dlrdanny Thanks Danny. As long as you are happy about that then? Just for my own enjoyment. I use a Xilisoft dot com product for downloading You Tube videos. Produces good results. I then 'tinker' with the videos in Sony Vegas Movie Studio. Thanks again. Nice sounds. Really inspiring. Like your comment below about 'scales' and moving away from that and thinking more 'melody' and 'modes'. I'm really stuck in that 'scales' thing with my playing. Any tips for me? Thanks again. Bill

  • @BillEvans1956 Hey Bill! Take any jam tune in a key and just play with your modes through hand positions and just listen to how it sounds. One thing that I try to do is "hear" a melody or notes in my head and then find it with my fingers. Do this over and over. You will start seeing whats on the fretboard what your hearing. You won't rely so much on scales and modes or what you know but what you create, not easy. Your playing will be left up to your imagination :-) Danny

  • @dlrdanny Thank you Danny. Will give that approach a try. Keep producing those great videos. Take care. Bill

  • Danny, another great example of not overplaying, rather, playing within the melody and creating something beautiful....something soulful...very very nice...Peace.

  • @zososhep

Thanks man, that means alot to hear from you. Thanks so much for watching and the kind words :-)

    Danny

  • Awesome as always! Your tone is so smooth and pure. Which scales are your favourite? or you just play by ear? And after this kind of melody i somehow imagine Mark Knopfler starting to sing Brothers in Arms

  • @AritasLTU

Hey! Thanks so much :-) I know my scales but don't think in scales. I think mainly melody and modes. I just try my best to let my brain hear the melody and have my fingers try and find it. I think I'm more of an ear player :-)

    Thanks again,

    Danny

  • I love your sound, can you tell me your preset?

  • @greulikertje

Hey man! I will get back with you with the settings soon, this sound seems to work :-)

Thanks for the comment and for watching!

    Cheers!

    Danny

  • @greulikertje

Sorry it to so long to get back with you, here is the preset : Ped.Fx = COMP, Level = 2.2, AmpType = {CST} CALI CLEAN, Gain 3.6, Treble = 6.6, Middle = 6.7, Bass = 7.9, Presence = 5.7, Volume = 9.6, Cab Type = VOX AD120VTX, NR = 6.2 all effects from my old Alesis Quadraverb. Have fun :-) Danny

  • Absolutely gorgeous Danny! God damn! I gotta get me a semi hollow body!

  • @ebealienhead

Thanks Dave! Something a little different :-)

    Danny

  • You are elegant expressive player nice touch and note ciaooo

  • @bluetouch64

Thanks so much my friend, wish I could play acoustic like you do :-)

    Danny

  • What kind of strings are you using? What gauge? Flatwound?

    Are they low-tension strings?

  • @haboreh

I ues nothing but "Curt Mangan" Fusion matched nickel wound. 10 -through 46 on all my guitars. I really like them, well balanced, great feeling quality string for all my purposes. They are not flatwounds.

    Cheers!

    Danny

  • Great choice of notes. I wish I had your vibrato and patience with some of your notes. Excellent Job Brother Danny!

  • @SHADOWAMPLIFICATION

Hey Shawn thanks for stopping by. I had just drank a fifth of Scotch to help me relax before playing this, just kidding of course :-) Hows Shadowland going?

    Danny

  • I hope your wife appreciates she is living with one dam fine guitarist!

  • @mutation999

Thinking about my wife helped me express myself on this, very mushing stuff here :-)

    Thanks man,

    Danny

  • Happy Wife = Happy Life!!

Good One Master Dan.. Keep the Fires burning/ smouldering :)

    Danny

  • I turned on some of the folks at VB to you and see they liked your playing as much as I do by the comments they left. ;-)

  • @SIXSTRING63

Yes, a couple folks stopped by and commented. I greatly appreceiate it and will return the favor soon as I can find a way to do that for you. I wish you were close by so we could get together :-)

    Thanks Mike!

    Danny

  • Hey Danny, I listened to some of your stuff on your wife's channel and was impressed by your vocals as much as your playing. Want to move to New York and sing and play in my band ? LOL. I would hire you in a minute Bro.

    Mike

  • @SIXSTRING63

Oh my god! I never advertise that stuff. That was from the 80's and was not really playing back then much at all. I was trying to write and play all the instruments in my home studio and was a one man band most of the time. I have around 20 songs from back then I wrote and sing on. It's a good thing you had not eaten before you listened :-) Thanks Mike! Danny

  • @dlrdanny No !!! It was really good. You have a great voice and amazing range. Kinda reminded me of some Styx type stuff.

  • @SIXSTRING63

    Thanks Mike :-)

    Danny

  • Beautiful tone

    this is great

  • @ConnorGlass121

Hey! Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching :-)

  • @donNorman61

    Cheers! Danny

  • Read the rest of the thread, Gibson American 57's. sound great. what amp?

  • @Revolutioncasino

Thanks man, I like the sound :-) I'm using a Vox Tonelab ST with a 17 year old Alesis Quarverb for effects.

    Cheers,

    Danny

  • Man that was sweet. You and that guitar are dialed in. Had to come take a sneak peek after Sixstrings and Zen mentioned this vid on Vanderbilly. Are those stock Epi 57 Classics? I am not sure what Epi calls their p/ups re: American in your post above. What amp are you using? (I have a 2008 Epi Dot with stock 57 Classics, so I am curious about yours. I have not been able to get that sweet of a tone out of mine yet, but working on it.)

65 Casino aka Revolution Casino or Glen

  • @Revolutioncasino

Hey again! This is a year 2000 Korean EPI with American Gibson Classic 57's on it, they not Epiphone pickups. The EPI 57's version I have off this guitar sound good also. Thanks again for the nice comments. I was trying out a new preset on the Vox also with this jam.

    Cheers :-) Danny
