I actually heard of someone getting arrested for doing this somewhere near the city of Syracuse, NY soon after we got in trouble at work for this..
1 pint muriatic acid, with 10 ounces by weight lye makes a huge boom on its own. it is as strong as a 1/2 stick, scared the neighbors. for a 4th of July finale, tape a strobe fountain to the side w/ a 1 min. fuse and the fountain top on the side of the jug. HCl+NaHO=water+salt+hydrogen. fountain ignites hydrogen, makes fireball, a shockwave to end all shockwaves, and a bang that sounds like every gun cartridge in the world going off simultaneously. In other words, an immense explosion. Nice vid!
@johnnyXsniper Just buy some muriatic acid at your local hardware store. It is PURE HCL (HCL = Hydrochloric Acid). Just note, this stuff is highly corrosive and can eat through human skin in its purest form. Wear PPE and practice proper laboratory handling techniques. Also, have your MSDS for all chems you are using close to you just in case.
@TNFlightNurse thanks alot! although i think iv found an easier way. we have a brand of toilet cleaner called harpic pro, and it has hcl in it. guess what im going to do today :D

Bleach is an alkali and does not react with metals (mostly, with some exceptions)
Toiletbowl cleaner is an acid and DOES react with metals :).
