@bloodforgodz he perfectly singed untill 2007...he reached ANY highest note of deep purple songs they normally played live during these years and regarding mid and low notes his voice is better now than in the '70...so the only shit here is not certenly Gillan...
First, David Coverdale never sang Child in Time. Second, he sang Mark II songs very well, and I doubt very much that Ian Gillan could sing songs like "Burn", "Love Don't Mean a Thing" or "Soldier Of Fortune" with the feeling that only David Coverdale has.
bessadale: that's my point! he never sang child in time or highway star cause he can't; his voice sounds like he a a potato in his mouth, Hugues is way better
Ha! That's the captcha: David Coverdale sang Highway Star in many concerts of the Burn tour, and in all concerts of the Stormbringer and Come Taste The Band tours. And he did it very well. Check it out: watch?v=aEIAXewOPSo
ye ye Ive heard highway star by David Coverdale...the WORST performance ever; that guy is just a very very bad singer...and compared to Gillan!! bye bye, take care
Hmmm, funny that the menu song was not recorded by Ian Gillan, but eather by Rod Evans, the forgotten Deep Purple singer. Rod was one of the greatest rock voices of all time, check out his two albums with the american progressive band Captain Beyond, their first album is better than anything Deep Purple has ever recorded.
Yes you're right , I have the DVD, bought it a few months ago, it's never out of my player, also I have the CD/DVD Gillans Inn..which is just as good, Audio on 1 side , flip it over and you have DVD, if you don't have it I'd recommend it, I bought it from Amazon for around £10.
fantastico questo video e questo dvd...potresti caricare la storia delle canne e della mucca con i sottotitoli? (sai di cosa parlo)

I wonder what all that drinking has been doing to his liver. Maybe this brings one to think of the Rainbow song "Drinking with the Devil".

Jon Lord must be the worst teller of anecdotes..ever...he just mumbles and stutters over his words until he finally reaches the point,,,

The old school rock legends are so cool and humble. They must be so fun to hang out with and have a few drinks and listen to their stories.
