@cbmcocobabybug They weren't properly prepared for it like they were this time round. Kobe was where they learnt lessons for making things that werent earthquake proof.
This was the one of the most devastasting quakes to hit Japan since the Kanto earthquake of 1923, when the cities of Yokohama and Tokyo were destroyed by tremors, fire and cyclone. We will never forget.
Increible el poder destructivo de los sismos, aca en mi ciudad no hay un sismo de proporciones desde 1912, y esa teoria del silencio sismico me asusta .
I was there when I was in middle school in Japan. So glad this happened BEFORE the rush hour. I was acting tough, but inside I was actually really scared.
It is important it assume an earthquake and other disasters, and to get ready. Let's confirm where there is a refuge place by all means. If a refuge place is not decided, it talk in community, and let's make a guideline.
Both the drivers at 1.51 died. There were cases like an old lady who was trapped under her fallen fridge in the kitchen & they couldnt get her out b4 the house burned down. People burned alive.
The crazy thing at the beginning of the video is you can hear the fucker coming. About 2 seconds before it hit there is a rumble and you see the two guys pause and look outside like WTF? Then the room starts to rock like crazy. God that gave me shivers, gave me flashbacks of Northridge.
It's weird if you notice...if you keep your eyes on the shelves in the very beginning of the video and not on the guys, you can see everything start to shake before they notice it. I can't even imagine dealing with a quake like that, and I live in California.
Oh man I remember this one. Saw it on the news of course. Those poor people. That was a hell of a shaker. The beginning of the video blew my mind, the ferocity of the quake; scary shit.
there r mini earthquakes all da time in japan... so minute you think in your mind you are imagining the room/building/street shaking when it's actually happening.
7.2 on the richter scale , really scary stuff how many people homeless and that died and injured in that earthquake is amazing for such a small time and no one was prepared ( or also sleeping at 5 am ) ooft scary
Likely a worse quake than this may occur between september 3 and 11 along the west coast of the united states! Northwest mainly! along with tsunami year 2010
i have not idea about this sucess until I begin to see this videos. I knew that in Japan there were big ones, but i though it was a almost a cotidianity, I never imagine that an event of this magnitude could happed there.

徐々に大きくなる東北のゆれより、直下型で突然MAXの縦揺れに襲われた阪神の方が
恐怖度は大きいかもしれませんね。

Reson why this earthquake did more damage from the shaking is because it was right below kobe.
