  • Reson why this earthquake did more damage from the shaking is because it was right below kobe.

  • Japan-Chile-New Zealand....The pattern seems to point towards a big earthquake in North America soon

  • @2550505

Oh my god you totally guessed it right.

The earthquake happened in East coast of the USA this August!!

  • @Nadeshiko637 And near Vancouver.....

  • all I find myself saying is OMG WOW!

  • I feel for the people in japan now and wonder whenthe quakes will stop

  • Thumb up if your watching this because of japan 2011 earthquake.

  • so sad :( japan is the nice country ever! :( pray for japan

  • @thewolf011 Its true.. The Cajon? Baby we've been waiting for "the big one" and Im sure its coming soon

  • Wow my grandma almost died on that one

  • did the 2 guys in the shop at the beginning of the video survive?

  • if it was 6.8, just imagine 8.9 that hitted yestirday.

  • looks at lot worse than the one that had just happend

  • @cbmcocobabybug They weren't properly prepared for it like they were this time round. Kobe was where they learnt lessons for making things that werent earthquake proof.

  • Looks like a very shallow earthquake.

  • How big was this quake?

  • @MagicAce101 6.8

  • @MagicAce101 any where form 6.8 up to 7.3

  • How big are the casualties?

  • Great Sound! It's Almost National Geographic Quality!

  • Great vid. Especially with the sound.

  • i was 4 when this happend but good thing i didn´t live there i was in tokyo but my aunt died there T_T

  • i was there and i lived it ,fucking scaring i thought i was gonna die........

  • This was the one of the most devastasting quakes to hit Japan since the Kanto earthquake of 1923, when the cities of Yokohama and Tokyo were destroyed by tremors, fire and cyclone. We will never forget.

  • :(

This earthquake happened before I was born (I was born on Thursday, April 6, 1995)

  • We love KOBE.... 16 years later...

    Ganbare Mina San !

    From Switzerland

  • @LunedeFiel KOBE! # 24! Lakers!

  • Japanese have much bad luck. I wonder where Hitomi Tanaka was when this occured

  • @EdHater111 I wish you would have been killed in that earthquake. LOLOLOL....

  • Is that a person at 1:12?

  • i think chuck norris was bangin nearby XD yeah i dont try to make fun cause i live in a sismic zone and KIDS NEVER WISH TO BE IN AN EARTHQUAKE

  • Chuck norris Jumped from a sidewalk

  • that is so scary

  • I was there when I was in middle school in Japan. So glad this happened BEFORE the rush hour. I was acting tough, but inside I was actually really scared.

  • damn i would of got of the floor and cry because i would of thaught it would of been the end of the world

  • @mariokartdsplayer1 No, The amount of released energy was relatively similar, but in this earthquake was released in less time... all of a sudden

  • the good thing is the shopper got his change be4 the earth Quack

  • This is really terrible, even i dont understand the language i feel sorry for them.

  • Hoooly crap! I would have been 1 year old back then >_<

  • How can that crap be 6.9? I was over here for the 7.2 in Baja California, and it wasn't anything like that. o.0

  • It is important it assume an earthquake and other disasters, and to get ready. Let's confirm where there is a refuge place by all means. If a refuge place is not decided, it talk in community, and let's make a guideline.

  • BreezyBrisbane, what a wanker you are!

May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits and jump for joy on your deathbed!

change your handle too wanker, you bring shame to Brisveagas

  • @BreezyBrisbane fuck whales. dumb fat cunts.

  • @BreezyBrisbane What do we have in store for the billions upon billions of chickens and cows we've "harmed"

  • Both the drivers at 1.51 died. There were cases like an old lady who was trapped under her fallen fridge in the kitchen & they couldnt get her out b4 the house burned down. People burned alive.

  • The crazy thing at the beginning of the video is you can hear the fucker coming. About 2 seconds before it hit there is a rumble and you see the two guys pause and look outside like WTF? Then the room starts to rock like crazy. God that gave me shivers, gave me flashbacks of Northridge.

  • Great obeservation, I thought the same thing. There was quite a noticeable rumble seconds before it hit, like a freaight time comming right at you.

It was so powerful it knocked the dudes off their balance.

  • It's weird if you notice...if you keep your eyes on the shelves in the very beginning of the video and not on the guys, you can see everything start to shake before they notice it. I can't even imagine dealing with a quake like that, and I live in California.

  • Oh man I remember this one. Saw it on the news of course. Those poor people. That was a hell of a shaker. The beginning of the video blew my mind, the ferocity of the quake; scary shit.

  • there r mini earthquakes all da time in japan... so minute you think in your mind you are imagining the room/building/street shaking when it's actually happening.

  • 7.2 on the richter scale , really scary stuff how many people homeless and that died and injured in that earthquake is amazing for such a small time and no one was prepared ( or also sleeping at 5 am ) ooft scary

  • If most weren't in bed the death toll would have been up to 30,000 so it was better being at 5am than more people being on the streets/roads~

  • 9.0 Earthquake?

  • we're next but what is going to be 6 or 8 magnitude

  • you love earthquake? you don't know what you say

    Italy

  • OMG calgary where i live is going to have a powerful quake like this someday...only problem is we dont know when. that scares me.

  • Likely a worse quake than this may occur between september 3 and 11 along the west coast of the united states! Northwest mainly! along with tsunami year 2010

  • 6400 is official deathtoll now i believe

if had happened in the day time they say up to 30,000~

  • nearly 5000 people died in that quake.

  • Actually, it was over 6500 or more at the end. My aunt and niece where 2 of them..........in that number.

  • and survived....

  • wow----

    get scared

  • As long as your home will not be destroyed by some earthquakes. Please don't be so cheeky.

  • Fuckhead

  • Japan has lovely countryside and forrests, waterfalls, beaches.

    EARTHQUAKE~can be dangerous though

  • i have not idea about this sucess until I begin to see this videos. I knew that in Japan there were big ones, but i though it was a almost a cotidianity, I never imagine that an event of this magnitude could happed there.

  • At that time, I was 11 years old. It was very sad that the child of the same age had died as a student at the nearby elementary school.

It is a disaster not forgotten though is painful.

  • my friends were killed in this earthuake

it's still too sad, but we have to live for

the coming futures. lunar new year

comes, again this year. peace for every

    persons.

  • is there a way you can translate what they are saying?

  • Poor Japan
