  • Singing this for my grade 7 this term, the diction is so hard D:

  • whoa, i got this link from omegle... it's beautiful

  • @iizpoefi you welcome

  • Superbe prestation. Très bonne diction. Waou!

  • Für diese Zeit sehr interessant. Ab und zu drückt das Vibrato etwas zu stark nach. Vor allem in der Höhe wird es zu aufdringlich. Die Farbe der Stimme ist aber sehr interessant.

  • perfect.

  • enjoyed thoroughly! thanks for posting!

  • breathtaking!

  • this is gorgeous

  • Serves to emphasize that they knew, unlike this contemporary period, how to sing in the past. Controlled, beautiful tone, exemplified by Joachim, escapes the professors (?) of singing today.

  • She was born in 1913?? The recording is wonderful, such a fresh sound, one would think she was in the same room. I did not know this artist at all until now - thank you so much for the introduction!

  • wow! Who's the pianist?

  • What key is she singing this in?

  • It's in C# Major.

  • @Eddywards It's actually in D flat Major - a worthwhile distinction, to me at any rate ;)

  • @lyndon1904 yeah… Answered by ear. Thanks for correcting

  • @lyndon1904 hehe -- it's certainly easier to read five flats than seven sharps!

This is so beautiful. I am playing it for a voice student at my school, but she sings it in F major. I love it in this low key, though -- it seems to lend it even more intimacy.

  • Really beautiful!

  • Such a poignant performance of this little masterpiece. The tranquil mood heightens the secrecy of this love song.
