@swomac8199 There was plenty of hip-hop all through out the 80s (Sugar Hill Gang, Kurtis Blow, Public Enemy, Schooly D, EricB & Rakim..etc) Really didn't become "mainstream" until the late 80s with "Yo MTV Raps" - (I give credit to" RUN DMC for putting it on the map and in a big way restarting Aerosmith's career again in '86. )I listened to all types, hiphop, R&B, pop. This song throws me back to 10th grade, In love with a girl named Jen in Math class. Miss the 80's those were good times! :)
Saw Cheap Trick along with Poison and Def Leppard a few days ago. I can't believe they did not play this song!! Their set was incomplete without it, in my opinion. :)
wow this brings memories....first love, first blood.

I'm one of those 80's babies---born May 1988! With these kind of music when I was still in my mom's womb truly kicked my mom's belly! XD

The 80's were, hands down, the golden age of rock 'n' roll. Whatever happened to music like this?
gorn9146 2 years ago 24
@gorn9146
Watch out for the 70's! The best era in rock music!!
rautenkuesser 11 months ago
@rautenkuesser Can't quite argue with you there. The 70's did produce some quite memorable music but, the 80's were better IMO.

Yeah. There was that "ballad" phase that all the rock bands felt they had to go through back then.
RacerXGTO 2 years ago
Was there something wrong with ballads, today the social scene has none... how do you meet a female? .. lol...
pheonixaffair01 2 years ago
haha, you stick an ad on the internet and you hope the girl looking at your picture thinks your cute enough to date.
that sums up the ballad for today's social scene.
