hey pat, that's badly worded how i explained the spelling of the word "KHMER." i apologize! :) i think the conventional way is a lot closer in prononciation, phonetically according to the sound/spelling correspondence in Eng. & Khmer. EX: "KHM" makes the (ខ្ម) sound; "E" makes the (ែ) sound as in "DeBIT"; "R" makes the (រ) sound as in "rOSE". 'Blend' "KHM-e-r" together, you get KHMeR (ខ្មែរ). Because Eng. has many sound/spelling variations and Khmer's language does not have the same sound(s)...

hey pat, i just read your comments about the conventional spelling of the words "Khmer." it's not easy to spell it in English because Khmer and English do not have the same spellings-and it's closer in prononciation to spell it "Khmer" than "Khmae." You know why? KHM makes one sound (ខchurng/leg-lol-i don't where the heck that is on the keyboard) and -ER makes the final sound (ែ-រ). It's conventionally spelled closely to our Khmer's spelling according to the layout on the keyboard.

Therefore we should call our people "Khmer" not Cambodian. We also used the word Khmer Krom (not Cambodian Krom) or Khmer Surin (not Cambodian Surin) to demonstrate our relation to our people.

Our country always call Kampuchea. The word Cambodia-Cambodian was adopted by the Anglo Saxon or Cambodge-Cambodgien by the French protectorat.

@sovandyhang I bought the font for Imac from xenotypetech dott com. It works for newer version of Macs. When I bought the font, their printed keyboard layout had not been updated. But all the characters are there, you have to click on the keyboard viewer to see where the characters are. The layout is different from other khmer standard layout. Any questions, let me know.

@sovandyhang Xenotype offer only 1 font style plus the MUUL style. I am not familiar with Microsoft words. But I know for sure that for PC Microsoft, Khek Brothers is the best. They have up to 12 fonts but Khek Bros said it does not work well with the newer version of iMac, it's only good for PC.

@sovandyhang Yes, it will cost you another $19 and tell them do not use MUUL as your default font otherwise you will see the MUUL font all over your computer when you search in Khmer. Ask them to fix the program to make the other font as the default...they will walk you through it. And yes, the video was made with iMovie. You will have to play around with it to get the hang of it. Once you do, it is very easy and you will end up making videos just for the fun of it.

@sovandyhang You can try going to any search engine and type in "Youtube to mp3." It will give u a list of links where you can extract the song from the youtube video. I use dirpy or listentoyoutube (dotcom) the most. After you download the link it should automatically play in the iTunes.
