I have followed Johnny Cash's career since the late '70s and will never understand why so few appreciated his recording in the '80s, some of them were truly great, like Highway Patrolman (Check it out!). In my opinion most of what he recordet in the '70s and the '80s were far better than his American Recording efforts, not least his voice! HURT is the brilliant exception because here his weaker voice fits the theme.
