I've never been to Madeira before. Looks very nice. The street toboggan ride piqued my interest, so I looked it up, and watched a couple of vids. Looks to be a bit of fun, I guess, and certainly unique. Apparently it's been a big tourist draw (trap?) for decades. Did you give it a go?
@dprider02 Madeira is beautiful, much greener than the Canaries and has a more tropical feel to it and attracts a completely different class of people. The toboggan rides looked lots of fun but were a little pricey (20€ for a 5min ride) so I decided to give it a miss, I can definitely see a return trip back there within the next couple of years.
You have more guts with the camera than I. Everytime I pull out my camera, I am too discreet, and mess up the shot, mainly because everyone looks at me like I am crazy. I am not fond of mountain driving, unless I am DRIVING!! Good vid. Mr. C
@maricopaapt14 Hi Mr C. I don't feel bothered by the camera in tourist areas as everyone has one out. However, in the normal everyday places I end up doing the same as you :) The holiday was a great break from the crappy winter over here at the moment.
@theSMYRNAcowboy Hi TSC. Yep, it's been a very long time since my last video. I rarely visit youtube these days but I wouldn't rule out any future vids though as within the next 6 months or so I may well have lots of free time on my hands.

Very nice. I hope you got a decent break from the winter cold.
The island looks quite volcanic. Do you know if it is at all active?

@Fudmottin Yeah, was a nice break from the cold. As far as I know it is dormant unlike some of the Canary Islands which are still quite active.

The cable car and bus ride looked scary - you would not have got me on either of them - lol
Nice place and good video.

@drewpyfz6 I do have a fear of heights too but I felt really save and unexposed in the cable car, unlike looking over the hotel balcony railings.
